I hear Hartwick will stay at 9 games due to the economy.

I understand they were offered a stipend to play Wesley and once again declined as was Springfield

Does Wesley have a week 5 bye?  I'd sign up to watch that game, but I can only speak for a couple members of the band.  At the very least Pep and I could drive down and play the fight song a couple times!

EDIT: Just checked the Wesley schedule and they have games on 10/3 and 10/17, Alfred's two bye weeks so no dice.  Maybe we can work out a scrimmage with Alfred State...

Wesley has a bye weeks 3 and 6 last I heard . The schedule Pat has posted has one less game on it so they may have  a week 2 bye now too. They only have 4 DIII games with a possible SCAC date . They have offered numerous other schools stipends. Springfield would have been an in region game where as  Hartwick would not...
Football !!! The ultimate team sport. Anyone who plays DIII football is a winner...

1 or 2 players from Springfield are coming to Fisher in 09, also a transfer from Albany is commited to Fisher. Fisher has been recuiting kids from Iona since they dropped football. An all NYD3 football will make D3 football that much stronger.

linebacker e8 rookie defensive player of the year is one of them.

Just as long as it's not the E8 ROY!  And I can't find the E8 rookie defensive player of the year listed anywhere.  A Springfield frosh by the name Brenden Moore from Jamestown won E8 defensive player of the week for week 10.  Is he one of the transfers?

It could be that the Week 2 game hasn't had its contract signed and Wesley doesn't want to post it as official until it is 100% good to go.

That would be sick if he transferred considering he killed SJF last year with 6 tackles, 2 INTs and a sack....

I see some talk on here about the incoming class for Fisher, but is there any more news out there? It seems every year we talk about the big recruits/transfers that are coming in. I am hoping Fisher can get it going again this year. I think they have some serious talent, with Baily and Carlton, but they have to eliminate the turnovers that just killed them last year. Hopefully a full off season and spring practice can clear up some of that. Any help coming on the WR and Defensive side of the ball coming in this year?

I know its early, but I just can't wait anymore. I finally have a companion for my season following Fisher. I am going to every game this year, and I really don't want to see 4 losses.
GO FISHER!!!

fisheralum91

im thinking that ill only catch 2 or 3 games this year myself- but am looking forward to them!
Tho the crop of doctors may be a little smaller this season.....Anybody know of "potential" doctors that may want to join the ranks?

boobyhasgameyo

Bailey was a frustrating one to watch because for every bone head turnover he made he would turn around and throw a perfect bomb right down the middle of the field.  It gives you hope that he can be something special if he can consistently make quality decisions....Hopefully he rectified the whole fumbling the snap issue as well.  I know it's been beaten to death here but I think he can really thrive if they return to the old offense and abandon whatever project that was last year, it was bland and predictable.  Totally mismanaged some of the talent on the team as well, such as Robbie Brown....we haven't even seen what Brown can do when he mixes his arm with his legs because literally anytime he came into the game as a QB he would run the ball out of the shotgun and gain like 2 yards.  It was pretty agonizing to witness over and over and over again.   Oh and give the ball to Biehl more if he is healthy, he was beastly and could catch the ball pretty well out of the back field.

Max Power just checking in.... hope everyone's having a good offseason. Go Yankees!

Robby Brown did not show up for spring ball, Luke Herrington is transferring to Ithaca. The game plan is to throw more than last year, Its pass to set up the pass.
Still only 9 games for 09.

If they want to go to a Wick or RPI and throw the ball 40-50 times a game that's fine but as long as they take out that stupid shotgun zone read run play I'll be happy...
