Curious about IC fan's assessment of their game at Union.  Tough loss or are their some unexpected chinks in the armor?

I think there is potential there to be a force towards the end of the season.  I think they tried to run up the middle a little too much.  It simply wanst working.  I think they little more variety in the offense in order to win these close games.  A screen, or even a toss would have helped.  Ithacas Wrs looked like they could block but they never really got the chance to.

I thought the play action looked great, and the QB can throw some darts but was a little inconsistent but still played well and had some great passes.

And I don't remember but they didnt really run out of the shotgun at all except for one draw.

And there were 3 penalties that really killed them.  One was a facemask after they had already stuffed Union on a 4th and 1 and then the pass interference on the last drive that would have made it 4th and goal for union instead of 1st and goal.  And the pass interference wasnt a horrible one either.  The CB kind of just didnt turn the right way and bumped into the WR in the endzone.  The ref could have let that one go but I guess it was the right call to make.

Cant wait for U of R this weekend.  I'll be watching once again on Empire8tv.  As stated before, Fisher seems to have alot of talented players and I also believe 8-1 is a strong possibility.  If we beat Ithaca, and avoid another loss to Wick, I think it happens.

FA05-
i would like to think so--
they have a lot of work ahead-
first and foremost is the health of bailey
second is the discipline issue with the penalties
beat who you are supposed to- dont look past them
and get up for and come thru in tough games---IC AU

Well it looks like the E8's kryptonite is the word "union" in a school's name as the conference is now 10-2 with losses to MUC and Union.  Thankfully, none of us play any more Union's during the regular season!
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

Everybody in the E8 except SJF and IC are undefeated...

Weird...

Back when Pep was playing in Church League Basketball, Pep played for a team called "Alfred Union" as players from a few Alfred churches comprised the team. At the same time, which will no doubt date Pep, Alfred and Union met regularly on the gridiron and in basketball as fellow members of the old Independent College Athletic Conference (ICAC). Pep thought it was pretty cool that the programs at said football and basketball games said "ALFRED UNION" on them.

Just another ridiculously nostalgic and worthless post by Pep.

Speaking of ridiculous posts of information that means absolutely nothing to anyone reading Post Patterns, sticking with 'z00's E8 versus "union"s theme, the freshman sousaphone player in the AU Pep Band, an Ohio resident, has a twin who plays in the Mount Union Marching Band.

This is a sure sign that AU Pep Band's recruiting efforts are on the rise....AU Pep Band stole a sousaphone player from Larry Kehres' backyard!!

Maybe I missed it but has there been any word on Bailey's ankle? He looked like he would be fine after the game, but I was hoping someone would have some information on if he will be 100% this week.
