Week 4 Predictions...

12:00 pm   St. John Fisher (48) atSalisbury(42) (in 4 OT)
1:00 pm       Springfield (31)  at     Alfred (35) (Secky wins it late)
1:00 pm       Ithaca (28)        at  Utica (17)  (IC pulls away in the 4th)
4:00 pm      Hartwick (28)    at     Becker (31) (Wick lets the E8 down)

dlip finds it funny the lack o respect that Wick gets. Yet when you look at the past few years, the lossses they have had, the pathetically week ass schedule they have played thus far, can you really blame anyone for not respecting them? dlip will always root for Wick though OOC and will again this week. He thinks Wick should handle this poor Becker team. Yet as he says this he thinks back to WNEC a few years back. dlip will tell you one thing, if Wick hopes for any love from ANYONE they better ****in win this game.

upstate with my 1300th post i bestow k upon you and ask what you think about the bills' chances against brees.

I've got no clue...

I don't know what to make of this team...

They are playing well on offense but the pass rush, pass defense and 3rd down defense haven't been that hot.  That's not a good thing when going up vs Brees...

Bell is out, Thomas is hurt and Lance Moore is out, now all the Bills have to worry about is Colston out muscling their smallish CBs, Shockey burning their LBers and Safeties, the duo of Meachem/Henderson over the top and Bush out of the backfield...

If Boltus was playing still I'd say Wick in a romp...

Wick is untested so far so I don't know what to make of them yet...

Agree. We'll learn alot about Hartwick next week when Ithaca comes to town. I'll tell you this tho, Hartwick is alot tougher than alot of people think. There a much more balanced team than in years past...

OUCH...

That's not good at all...

Quick question, are they back to the 4-3 or still running the 3-4?

4-3...but it's still the same soft zone coverage a good QB can pick apart since there's still no pass rush, so what's the difference?  ;)

Losing any starting LBer during the year is tough, especially with the caliber of one like Scalice...

I was just wondering because with the 34 you can at least hide the loss of a LBer easier than you can in the 43...

Speaking of losing players for the year, I don't know if it's 100% accurate but I heard that the promising freshman running back Zemaitis tore his ACL and is out for the year.  Has anybody else heard anything on this??

Oh what the hell...

Garcon actually played at Butterfield when he was with Norwich.... he was clearly in a different class from what was a poor Norwich team.  We chanted "you should transfer" and "come to Ithaca" at him throughout the game.  Rumor was he actually considered IC before heading to Mount.

Bummer on Scalice. Pass coverage from the middle linebacker spot last week was poor.

I actually think we'll get more pressure on the QB than in recent memory with Drescher, Goetz, and Kugler.. but it may be back to the "bend but don't break" mentality...

Just called the local radio station that broadcasts Alfred football and was informed the game should be streamed on WCKR if anyone is interested in listening.  No guarantees that it will actually be streamed, but I'm hopeful since I'm down in Jersey and want to hear the game.
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

Alfred has the distinction of beating that Norwich team with Garcon TWICE in one season on the lovely turf at Merrill Field. Pep pointed that out via voicemail to Pep Jr. just after Garcon scored the winning TD against Pep Jr.'s Miami Dolphins Monday night. Pep Jr. did not return Pep's call.  :-\

It appears also that AU will redshirt promising freshman tailback Chuck Beckwith, who was injured while scoring a TD in the scrimmage at Susquebanana U. Aug. 29.
