DC does a very nice job with ATR.  I had no problem with his Utica stuff, but some others did.  DC dropped the Utica stuff, yet some have gone through DC's stuff with a fine toothed comb in an effort to go after him again.

Why continue to bust the dudes balls when he has obviously made an effort to appease all those who were offended by his Utica talk?

Seems like Yanks & BoSox just get some jollies out of being obnoxious and rattling some cages.

I swear the only thing i brought up was the comment about  an upstart Utica being one  of Alfred's toughest test of the season coming up... i thought that was laughable so i brought it up for discussion... on a discussion board... thats it... and it didnt go over well.  Of course i was picking the article apart... why not?  you dont think that comment is ridiculous?

Holy ****...here is the take of a repeat karma offender...DC should be hands off unless you are disagreeing with his take...I mean what can be the point of railing a guy who provides a benefit to us all for his team's affiliation?  Imagine you want to write a column on here and you 'love' your alma mater....wouldnt be easy....huh?  

On the merits though....there is only one logical and reasonable way to read the subject quote...and Pep already stated it.  Clearly he meant that AU needs to finish the season.  This only makes sense in light of how AU has stumbled home for a decade....and especially since it has been a front and center topic on here all year.  Utica lover or not, do you really think he meant that Utica would be one of AU's toughest tests of the year?   6 pages of rippin DewCrew for that twisted bull**** opinion???  

I mean we all know that Hartwick is UC's toughest opponent...

that is def. not clear ... and actually he said they cant finish 8 and 1... which they can and still get the AQ...

I've never really had a problem with DC's work even when UC got some extra pub...

I can guarantee that people would have the same DLIP if a IC alum was doing it...

I have NO PROBLEM with DC... i thought that part of his column was suspect... do I want to write a column.... Would I be able to write a column ... no.  He does a good job.  I just dont understand why everyone has their panties in such bunch over this.

Hopefully this settles it...the original column came off like you were saying Alfred needed to win both games.  I don't ever remember it saying anything about a good playoff seed...which is why some of us found it odd.  You corrected yourself...we all got it now.

From my standpoint though...I don't think Alfred fans care about a playoff seed.  When you have never made the NCAA's (at least I don't believe that they ever have...if they have, it was a while ago), I am pretty sure that all they care about is getting to the big dance.

I am a little worried about you DC...you shouldn't take all of this stuff to heart, because I think you are taking everything way too personal.  The articles are great...even when they are littered with UC write ups.  No one ever said you weren't fair and didn't cover everyone and every league...just that you were over the top pro-UC...which you are.  If you are going to come on here and break peoples chops...you have to expect to have it thrown back your way.  If you aren't...keep writing the column...but stay away from the forums.

Look. I don't need any apologies or whatever. I try very hard to be fair. Is there too much UC sometimes? Yes. But I'm an alum, the column says as much. Occassionally I go too far, and when I do, I've been told about it and I've corrected it.

I just think it sucks that two sentences --TWO! -- were critiqued based on an interpretation out of a 2,700-word column. That's what annoyed me.
