That's good, but I guess I was thinking more about the concept of equal access to the NCAA tournament.

Yeah, Pep would rather not go there...sorry!  :-\

Heard ECAC teams from the E8 are SJ Fisher, Springfield and very unexpectedly Hartwick.

You can thank Ithaca and Hobart for not filing for that one.

those could be some real good matchups... I especially like the Fisher-Cortland tilt.. should be a really close matchup.

I like the match up as well.  I'm just glad they didn't have to go somewhere like fricking Maine again...

maxpower

I predict Cortland gets swallowed up by the E8 this year... Fisher at Growney will be too much to handle.

I have a feeling SJF is going to drop some knowledge on Cortland.  In fact, the north bowls all look like potentially one sided affairs.  The South Atlantic and Southwest Bowl look like the best matchups.

I would've liked to see Union - SJF.

Im going to be bold and say that Hartwick will be very competitive against union...A 56-13 loss at home wasnt the way they planned on ending season....

And I wouldn't say Union is some powerhouse that will come trampling in.  They may, but I just don't see it.  Could be closer than people think!

We'll see, but Hartwick was 1-4 in conference with their one win against winless in conference Utica.  Further, they're playing on the road, which has made a big difference even in the Boltus years.

In conference PF 90 / PA 184, or 18pg / 36pg, Hartwick's only scored > 17 pts once in the last 4 games (33 vs. Utica), including 56-13 and 35-7 home losses to Springfield and SJF in two of the last three weeks, as well as a 42-17 loss to AU four weeks ago, so I wouldn't exactly suggest the SJF game was some kind of anomoly.

They may've been good the two prior years, but the winning record is smoke and mirrors - same as RPI in the LL.  In fact, I'd make the same case if RPI had gotten an ECAC game and was playing SJF or Cortland (although I don't know how much Cortland has at this point).

This isn't about Union, but since it's brought up, they have plenty of offensive talent (check out Justin Gallo and Chris Coney if you haven't seen the names, Gallo torched Drake Woodard a couple of times) and do have a win against IC and have a comparable opponent to SJF in Salisbury with similar outcomes, but different margins.  Union also has wins over three teams w/winning records (Hobart, RPI and IC).

I think we can also thank IC for Fisher playing at home. If C-state wins the Cortaca game, Fisher is probably making the trip down to Cortland next Saterday. Makes for a longer drive for me, but I would rather see Fisher on the turf at Growney.
GO FISHER!!!

Yeah I think playing on the road may be a big thing.  I hope it's competitive just for the sake of both teams and going out on at least a semi-positive note.

I will still take it...no one is saying they are the best team on earth...but kudos to the coaching staff...some people thought we were going to revert backwards a bit...great job Wick, and good luck against the Dutchman...

Umm...You went from 7-3 with wins over AU and SJF to 5-4 with their best win being over Norwich...

I'd say that you did revert back to the pre-Boltus Hartwick, making an ECAC game over Utica and Brockport doesn't change that.
