Touch The Rock

Heading out to Ithaca to see the 2010 version of the Bombers.  28 hours until kickoff! Go Bombers!
Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all time thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is habit.

Max is back on the boards, hey to everyone, welcome to TTR. Hoping Ithaca will pull out a monkey stop tomorrow like they should. Until then, hope the hurricane isn't making anyone miserable.

If they monkey stop the Larries with all of those players suspended (i expect them to win by 7-10 points anyways) I'll be impressed...

Or extremely sad that the Larries suck that bad...

It's Friday afternoon of a game week and work is less and less important with each minute that goes by. I'm still trying to convince my pregnant wife to head to Growney with me tomorrow, so hopefully I will see some of you there. Get excited.

Saxons ready to kick it off with the Pride of Widener at noon tomorrow. Pep is happy to report, for Saxon fans everywhere, that the game will be available on webcast with play-by-play provided by Bob Codispoti of WLEA 1480 AM.

It will be the first game on the "new" Merrill Field. Pep is hoping that any prognosticated precipitation will have worked its way out by kickoff.

AU has struggled with its MAC opponents of late and Widener is no slouch. The Saxons have been known for slow starts, fumbling away a game to Ursinus, struggling with FDU, and Pep recalls a 95 degree loss at W&L, a game that likely kept the Saxons out of the NCAAs.

Pep is anticipating a very competitive game and is hoping that AU special teams will pull this one out, 28-24. Get the fight song ready.

On Saxon Warriors!

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Nice article about Fisher in the Roch D and C

Guess 82's source was correct.....

Coach Vos sure knows his team at times.... ;)   seriously...just kidding....Vos is not my source.  My source has also predicted a 10-0 season, starting with a 45-14 romp of the 'Port on Sat nite.

I must get in the obligatory Go Port!  To support my undergrad Alma Mater.

It's the first game of the season and hopefully it'll be a good one.  Good luck to both sides!

Best of luck today pg04. Game day is finally here. I think Mrs. Cards and I will be at Growney today. GO CARDS.

Damn, can't get the feed from Penn Atlantic up for the AU game...

Won't be able to make the Bomber game today, but am looking forward to my debut next Saterday vs the U.

I look forward to hearing about the offensive line today.  People just love Clay Ardoin, and I'm confident if someone blocks for him he could have a big, big day today.

Have to imagine Ithaca will have a ground first approach with their QB out.  Zappia is not the ideal short term, or long term option... if he struggles look for Welch to give the Sophomore some snaps today.

Paper claimed the defense will be more aggressive this year, possibly even getting away from the infamous ten yard cushion our CB's typically give defenders.

Kugler being out for the season is a big disappointment.  He was the best freshman d-lineman I had seen in ten years around here...
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

In addition to losing Kugler to injury, it's really disappointing not to see Jake Fietkiewicz on the roster.  Not sure if he's enrolled at the school anymore..
