Freshman Jared Prugar punches in his first career TD from 1 yard out. 20-3 IC.

Eh, that's debatable...

But I'm not going to go all Frank Rossi on you...

I'm honored to have become an adjective now...

Port takes opening kick off, looses two yards and punts...

First time Kramer touches the ball he takes a punt back 60+yds for a TD...

6-0 SJF after a botched PAT attempt (here we go again)...

33-3's the final from Butterfield. What started with several "oh no" moments ended with a solid second-half effort. Next up is Union, who the radio guys noted is one team Mike Welch has never beaten.

Did the radio guy also note that Union has never won at Ithaca?

Bombers looked pretty underwhelming. Say what you will about the suspensions, but that offense did squat in the first half:

Drive 1: Three plays, zero offensive yards
Drive 2: Seven plays, 35 yards
Drive 3: Three plays, -1 yards
Drive 4: Three plays, 7 yards
Drive 5: Four plays, 18 yards
Drive 6: Three plays, 9 yards
Drive 7: Three plays, -2 yards

Seven drives, 23 plays, 66 yards, two first downs. Ithaca's running game was non-existent. Save for the two long touchdown runs, the Bombers' three backs had 27 carries for 54 yards. When you're averaging two yards a carry against a team like St. Lawrence...

The passing game should be better next week, but the Bombers offensive line just does not open up holes.

It was early, but 11-for-23 from Zappia, (who may not be the starter) and very little from the running backs is not exactly a great omen.

Now defensively, this team will be very good. 156 yards allowed, 4 turnovers, 5 sacks and one TD. Yes, it's St. Lawrence, but that's a good effort. Lots of low-scoring games in store on the South Hill

Port breaks off a nice run on a zone read for 50+ yds to the 2, then take it in on the next play...

Missed EP and tied at 6...

SJF gets great field position with a kick return by Kramer to midfield, they then proceed to march down to score on the possession...

EP is good and it's 13-6 with 2:00 to go in the first...

Thanks Bombers.

Did you notice what kind of defense the larries were in?  Sometimes teams like that play a 5 man front and try to make you throw since they might not have the athletes to cover the run and pass evenly?

Good point. IC definitely seems like a different team at home sometimes. It should be a good game; the Bomber defense will get a big test from Coney, who torched them last year in Schenectady.

Not a bad half for Fisher -  Kramer made an instant contribution...i like the way they are using him....Borum is a stud--look for them to come out firing in the 2nd half!

Final thoughts about the Fisher game....It is nice to have special teams back....Like I called it a few weeks ago- Fisher needed a returner ala Steve Stepnick.....Kramer is that guy...Produced instantly...He will learn and grow with this team.. Bailey looked very impressive...5 tds ties a school record.  The WR crew is outstanding.. Bailey has a LOT of options..Borum is a load to tackle, very nice back...D looked good...All around- a little spit and polish and this team is in mid season form!
I am really looking forward to this year!
