Remember two weeks ago when folks were lamenting the lack of Bomber posters?  It's nice to have some balance to the Fisher faithful again!

Nice to have some Bombers back, but Pep misses the posts of MIYH....and where's that former E8 commissioner...Viper.

Is anyone making the trip to downtown Rochester for the Courage Bowl this weekend? Mrs. Cards, Myself, and a few friends are making the trip. Of all the games to go to, this is the easiest to get people on board for. It is such a good cause.
GO FISHER!!!

Off to the land o lobstah.

Man...82 hasnt missed one yet, and doesnt usually miss too many 'home' games anyways, but Mother 82 long ago planned an extensive cookout gathering at her summer camp in the Naples area and has demanded the presence of 82, Mrs. 82 and the 4 junior 82s.  She did advise that I was free to depart at an hour sufficient to gain 82 timely entry to the game, however it appears to 82 that it was the type of 'permission' that Mrs 82 gives me when the boys ask 82 to go out for 'pops'.....ie: "yes you can go, and when you do you will sleep on the couch for a month"

So....82 will likely park his a$$ inside the camper and watch on TV this year.... :(

82- I had no idea that you had such extensive cashflow as to summon a private jet from naples (italy)? (florida)? to get to Rochester for the courage bowl.
I tip my hat to you sir....

;D

Were his Saxons playing at home, Pep would likely venture to the city for a bowl of courage. But, Pep will be on the road, returning from the North Country with a small band of musicians.

If I wanted to watch SJF win a football game, I'd just watch them play Ithaca  :o

I do wish more teams would do more things similar. Like, IC could do something specific to Cortaca. That game could use a soul.

I would think Cort State could raise some money for the "Retired/Unemployed P.E. Teachers Fund"  ;D

Pep would like to see Cortaca used as a fund-raiser for Habitat for Humanity. Both SUNY-Cortland and Ithaca College have chapters. Heck, $1 donation from every ticket sold would go a long way toward building a house...each chapter could raise an easy $5,000.

that's a great idea pep - although isn't the turnout for cortaca usually north of 10K?  that would definitely go far @$1 per....

btw-  you AU fans have been awfully quiet re your #25 ranking.... :-X

And with good reason. Rankings are moot. Pep recalls one time not too long ago the Saxons had "arrived" on the Top 25 scene only to travel to Boswell for a spanking!

AU has one game under its belt with still a few unanswered questions.

It varies. Thankfully, IC seems to have cut back. In 2001, there were 12,620 fans at the game, in 2003 there were 11,743 but last year there were 9,700. That's right around where Cortland is too. While the extra three grand would be nice, putting that many people in Butterfield is a disaster

AUPepBand

Well, perhaps each Habitat chapter would be a bit more interested in the football game if the "winner takes all."  Their next build could be "The House that Cortaca Built."

Not sure what the Cortland and Ithaca chapters do with Collegiate Challenge, but the AU chapter has a long-standing partnership with an affiliate in Deland, Florida where together they've built close to 20 houses in the past 12 to 15 years.
