Here is a clip for next week's episode.  Might not be as funny if you didn't watch last night, but it made me laugh pretty hard.

No way its legitimate media.  It's a blog!

Thanks for the kind words.

Glad to see you on board again, Q... Hope all is well with you in the sunny south. A native Floridian will be inducted into the Saxon Sports Hall of Fame Oct. 2. Former AU QB Paul McDonnell, now living in the Capital Region here in NY, starred for the Saxons in the 1980s. McDonnell was either from Frostproof or Avon Park....

What does it say about my life that my high school has played two games on ESPN in the last four weeks and my college has never played on ESPN?

That your skills as a football player diminished so much you single-handedly dragged down the team's ability?

Last year after it was released that the game moved to downtown, I opined that it was a bad move to take a game that was played annually in packed college campuses to a sterile downtown soccer stadium in the ghetto.  My opinion hasnt changed.  My attendance guess is 6400.  They will gain about 1000 fans but sacrifice the atmosphere greatly.

Both SJF and UR have relatively small seating capacities, but SJF for example, has a great standing atmosphere that really adds to the game from the fan's perspective.  If only 5000 show up, they will have really shot themselves in the foot financially, because they are obviiously paying the stadium and that will cut into the charity proceeds.

Seriously, I wish I were a SJF fan--mostly during the long, grinding wheelchair push up Mt. Butterfield--so I could see games in that stadium more often

I will say, savvy move by the Bombers putting a week off in between the Fisher and Springfield games. Not only does it give them a week to recover from another beating (or alternatively, recover from the shock of actually beating Fisher) but it gives them another week to prepare for the triple option.

Also, by allowing for 21 days in between home games, the grass can be nice and long when the Pride show up.

Well played, boys

You really think that the "bye" week is planned? Pep was under the assumption that teams have 11 weeks to play 10 games and, in many cases, they come up short a game and fill in whatever dates they have left.

"Let the bye fall where it may"....is Pep wrong?

I agree with Pep.  I really liked when Alfred had that bye week prior to the Hobart, Ithaca, Fisher guantlet a couple years ago, though it didn't work out either year.  I'd assume coaches have a preference for when they would like a bye to fall, but scheduling games is hard enough to make it a priority.  Though I was lamenting last week's bye week wishing it was this week to help prepare for the Pride.  I liked scheduling U-Mass Dartmouth for that specific reason last year; it was like having an extra week of practice for Springfield.
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

Sarcasm, good sirs. Although frankly, the Bombers played so many years without a bye week, (or technically, a bye in Week 1) I'm not sure it's random chance
