Wow, I just got onto D3Football.com, and the new set up looks great. An upgrade if I have ever seen one. Props PC.
GO FISHER!!!

I agree, the site is much better!!  :)

However, being one to always complain about SOMETHING, it does seem very busy.  Those of us with Attention disorders may have trouble deciding what to click on first :P

Good football in that part of the state.  Mean old farmers.

What does it say about my life that my high school has played two games on ESPN in the last four weeks and my college has never played on ESPN?

u climaxed and are on the long downhill run towards never having to pay taxes again?

PBR, please don't say 'u climaxed' on these boards anymore.  Thanks.

This goes with never putting Utica and another school in the same sentence for Lew.  Since this is a new sentence, I can tell you that the other school is RPI.  Remember this when posting scores and updates tomorrow.  You do NOT want to tick off Lew.  The last person to do so was 'Gro.  We haven't heard much from 'Gro these days, you notice...

I will say, savvy move by the Bombers putting a week off in between the Fisher and Springfield games. Not only does it give them a week to recover from another beating (or alternatively, recover from the shock of actually beating Fisher) but it gives them another week to prepare for the triple option.

Also, by allowing for 21 days in between home games, the grass can be nice and long when the Pride show up.

Well played, boys

You really think that the "bye" week is planned? Pep was under the assumption that teams have 11 weeks to play 10 games and, in many cases, they come up short a game and fill in whatever dates they have left.

"Let the bye fall where it may"....is Pep wrong?

Yes.  Some schools (RPI I think is on record for this) refuse to play more than nine games in the season.  Thus, they have some leeway as to how they schedule their bye.  Of course, league games are pre-scheduled, but I'm focusing on the other five weeks that they can schedule.

A quick heads up for the E8PP:

St. John Fisher Head Coach Paul Vosburgh will be joining Eric Ren, James Baker and me on Sunday night's "In the HuddLLe" to discuss the Courage Bowl results, his team's big game next week vs. Hobart, the E8/LL rivalry that always seems to be brewing, out-of-conference scheduling approaches and more.  If you have any questions for Coach Vosburgh, please feel free to post them here or in the ITH chatroom during the live show.  The show begins at 7:30pm EDT Sunday at http://inthehuddlle.com -- archive available soon after the show's completion.

Old IC Voice

I'll be in attendance for the Hartwick-Norwich game tomorrow. Miss Voice (not Mrs., just Miss) has a stepbrother who's a backup o-lineman for the Hawks, and we'll be taking the long drive with her family. Should be a fun game to watch, and I'm looking forward to the fall scenery (and maple syrup!) up in Vermont.

Pep made that trip to Northfield a few years back with the band in the pep bandwagon. But tomorrow, Pep will take a six-piece entourage to Canton, NY where the Saxons take on the (Larries) Saints.

Safe travels to everyone.

2.5 hours till week 3 kicks off.  Good luck to the E6....Go Bombers!
Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all time thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is habit.

I'm going to offer up a pre-courage bowl E6 poll as i see it:

1. SJF
2. IC
3. Springfield
4. Alfred
5. Utica
6. Hartwick

It's tough to compare IC and Springfield at this point. IC has better opponents, Springfield more convincing wins and an offense that is playing real well as a unit that knows its purpose. But then, the Pride "only" hung 55 on Husson, Salisbury embarrassed them. Without a run game, IC will not beat SJF, especially not in Rochester.

EDIT: Without an *improved* run game...

DOUBLE EDIT: *51* on Husson...

Remember the Pinwheel intro song when we were kids? Now sing it in your head and replace pinwheel with Springfield. The Pride's O running on all ****ing cylinders thus far. Granted the competition hasn't been stellar but they have hammered each opponent and taken care of business. dlip is really enjoying the Pride's early success and hopes it continues with them running the table in the E8. He really does not think that will happen but he hopes he hopes... ;)

Springfield, Springfield, spinning around - look at my Springfield and see what I found.

Hey, it works! :)

Guess what, WPI called off the dogs at the end of the game, unlike someone else.  55-0 Final.  Only 22 points scored by WPI in the 2nd Half.
