I think they had to jump up because one team dropped out and another team ranked ahead of them lost and is now ranked 24th.  So you would have had to have jumped someone ahead of them that wasn't ranked.  And actually Wheaton jumped them after being not ranked last week and Montclair and Illinois Weslyan also jumped up spots with regular wins.

Thanks for actually looking at the poll rather than ranting about it without thinking.

Is there a way to scroll back through the weeks like before?

I was about to say the same thing...

At the moment there's a bug with previous weeks. I took them down because the records were continuing to update with new games, so the Week 1 and Week 2 polls had three weeks of games.

Pat will we be able to click and view different team pages of another team's schedule again?  For instance if I am viewing Fisher's schedule this year and I see that they are playing Hobart and I want to view Hobart's team page and schedule I could just click on their name.  I loved that feature and would get so lost in it sometimes that I would start out on Fisher's schedule and a million clicks later due to common opponents I am looking at Puget Sound's team page.

Hey boys- Still in the land o lobstah but couldnt help notice that Fisher is still unranked.
Am I missing something?
AU jumps to 23 after barely getting by SLU?
Ok.

The question that wasn't answered was, was there a team outside the rankings that deserved to pass Alfred based on a better win? Now maybe there wasn't, and if so, your logic is correct. But teams should certainly be able to drop from barely beating a mediocre opponent.

That being said, I don't think there's really a difference between a spot or two on the poll.

This is one of reasons I don't like preseason polls. (And yes, I know the fans want them, it's a talking point, it's all meaningless at the D-III level, etc.) Alfred probably did deserve to move up based on what transpired in the Top 25, but it's all based on the preconceived notions of where they were to begin with, which may have been inaccurate.

Regardless, this week will prove it one way or the other. If Alfred's legit, they'll prove it by beating Springfield. If not, we'll know. They need to play much better though. You'll survive four turnovers against St. Lawrence. Springfield? Not so much. By the way, Springfield has 11 fumbles in three games this season, losing six. Even for an option team, does that strike anyone as a lot?

That's one of the encouraging signs for IC: The Bombers offense has zero turnovers in 192 plays this season.

I have a feeling SC maybe a paper tiger....

Any of you Cards fans going to Geneva Saturday (whoops, I mean Saterday?)

I think SC loses to IC and SJF and ends up 8-2...

SJF has only lost once to SC and that was when Kramer missed the game at QB, Stepnick was out at CB and was missing a stud DL.  Yet it still took a super human effort by Sharp to upend SJF...

IC normally handles the SC offense at home...

I would love to be attending the game but Mrs. Upstate has to work so I'll be at home with the 4 mini Upstates...

I did catch some of the Hobart game on SatErday and was impressed with the way they handled the CM offense for most of the game.  Vella looks like a boom or bust type of QB, he'll either give you a big play or a mistake, if Hobart wants to win they'll need him to be a lot more consistent...

Hobart needs to keep the SJF offense off the field as much as possible....

You guys may be right regarding SC but dlip thinks they may present quite a challenge at least for IC. dlip does not think their D will be able to handle Bailey though when they clash with Fisher.

I think IC will be fine against Springfield. Obviously, I'm an IC guy but consider that Springfield can't take advantage of IC's weakest link defensively (lack of a sustained pass rush) and have scored a grand total of 20 points in their last three trips to Butterfield. The last Springfield team to light up the Bombers at home was their great 2000 team, which  went 11-2. That's not to say they're not dangerous, but there's no denying they're much less dangerous on grass

I agree SC will struggle against IC, AU, and Fisher, but the are certainly a wild card. I can see them losing to all three or beating 2 or even all of them.
I am trying to convince Mrs. Cards to go to the game in Geneva this weekend, but I am struggling to convince her to go two weeks in a row.

Man, if I had to choose I'd probably go to the Utica game since the Bart game will be online...

I totally agree upstate. Unfortunately I have a wedding to go to the day of the Utica game and the IC game, so the Hobart game I really want to go to.
GO FISHER!!!

I posted this on the LLPP but thought I would ask on here as well: Does anyone know the best places to tailgate? Park? Eat? Etc at a Hobart game? I haven't been before but I am trying to make the trip this weekend for the fisher game.

2 things

-I hate the new trend on websites that have the rotating stories on the main page, with pictures/stories that change every 5 seconds.  The Ithaca College athletics page has this and everytime I want to read something or click on something, the story changes.  I know other major news type websites have the same feauture, but it really bothers me for some reason.  I can understand it more for a daily news site, as there might be multiple news stories every day.  But the Ithaca football page has a few new items a week, and I think they can just have the latest story up and have a list or archive of old stuff right next to it in list format.

-That being said, is Ithaca not doing the old football writeups previews for the upcomming games?  Or am I missing it somewhere on the website?
