Bailey is a far more mature QB this year compared to the previous two years.  He's beaten you on sheer talent alone, this year he's reading defenses as well as Kramer did.  He's using receivers all over the field this year and not just deep passes on the outside.

If Ithaca manages to shut down Bailey, how are they going to stop SJF's run game?  Borum is an absolute load and with Kramer getting carries he's a threat to break it for a big gain.

Unless Bailey and the O-line absolutely implode I don't see IC holding SJF under 35.

I can see Ithaca holding them under 28 or 21.  I think this will be the best defense SJF has faced so far this year.

And what happened to that freshman DE for Ithaca last year?

No doubt Bailey is having a great year.  But this is arguably the best D IC has had in the past 5 years and most likely the best defense Fisher has seen.  When they're healthy, and lord I hope they are this week, that linebacking crew is a solid as they come.  They've really matured in the pass game and have shown great ability to play downhill and help stuff the run.  Conti and White are pretty much lock down at the corner spot and the safeties seem to be playing real well too.  Ahonen is a wrecking ball and Leimer had two picks last week I believe.  Bailey is going to get his yards and make big plays on talent alone, no doubt.  But don't be surprised when ICs defense is significantly better than you've seen recently.

Owen Kugler needed back surgery this summer and has to sit out the whole season.  I talked to him before the first game and he told me that he plans to take advantage of the medical red shirt and play a 5th year.

This is the biggest and best O-line SJF has ever had...

IC's defense has one guy over 230lbs...

Not a good combination...

I'd rather have them average out at 6'5" 275 like SJF instead of 5'10" 240 like Hartwick...

Show me a team's O-line that doesn't have fatties on it and I'll show you a team that sucks...

FATTIES RULE!!!

With the exception of the '06 and maybe '07 years, I really thought that the playing field was level talent wise.

a) The talent level was nowhere close to even in 2008. Fisher lost FOUR times that season and they beat IC by 30 points. And look at some other conference games.

Fisher loses to a Wick team the Bombers hang 69 on? Fisher beats Utica by seven and Ithaca beats them by 35? Or beats Springfield by three while the Bombers win by 29? I give Fisher all the credit in the world when in comes to being better than IC, but there's no way those 2008 teams were close.

b) Doesn't it strike you as disconcerting that, with equal talent levels in 2009, playing at home, Ithaca's only points in the first three quarters came on the return of a blocked XP? Or that the Bombers were outgained by 300 yards?

Honestly, 06 and 07 don't bother me. Fisher was the better team by far both seasons and should have won those games. But the last two seasons were different. And Fisher still killed them

+1.

And why are you picking IC to push your spread? You're either right or you're wrong, gotta pick one.

I've picked against SJF vs the spread the whole time and they keep winning, figure I'll stick with it...

I nailed last weeks spread for the SJF/UC game, had SJF -11, so figure I'd stick with that too...

I'm pretty superstitious...

A talented Ithaca team doesn't lose to Curry in the first round...

Just saying...
