Both would be fine with me, but I would take either. They are both probably in the top 5 players for Fisher all time. I would say that list is:
1 Robby
2 Kramer
3 Stepnick
4 Bailey
5 Myers

I admit I don't know any players before 2000 but I think the list is still representative. I thought about Feherenbach and lang etc. but this is just one mans opinion.

Fun game...keeps me distracted. If we're just talking players from the recent rivalry

1. Jamie Donovan* (Healthy 2004 version only)
2. Sean Mirkov
3. Chris Grey
4. Jake Queener
5. Jason Chier

How about an all conference team from the last 10 years?
GO FISHER!!!

With respect upstate, if I could bring back any player from the past to this specific Fisher team I think Stepnick would be the best choice. Robby was amazing, but I think Fisher needs the most help against the pass.

For pass defense this year, I'd take Keem at DE over Stepnick...

He was a force off the edge his Jr & Sr years...

His pass rush would help out the defense more than a CB...

No doubt Stepnick is a shut down CB and one of the best players to come through SJF...

I think you have it right for the most part upstate. But, no Myers? He put up huge numbers with a lesser O-line, and much less in the passing game. Teams knew he would get the ball a huge number of times, and he still put up big rushing yards.

Keem is a great call. I didn't think of him when I was thinking about stopping the pass, but he would make every D back better.

What do you mean "lesser O-line"???

I hate you!

(yeah I was part of that "lesser O-line")

There have been a ton of great players coming through SJF since 2002 that someone's going to get left off...

Hell I can make a case for the following:

QB-Roland, RB- Meyers, TE-Kallfelz (he was in Chief's camp for a while), DE- Luce (all time leader in sacks), C- Keem (Aztek Bowl), DE- Pollack, S- Schickling, S- Dias, CB- Banks...

I had to go from 5-10 just to get Fortune and Marion on there...

Please don't hate me Upstate. I knew pleny of those players, and they were great. When I was a senior (03) the O line was the best part of the team, but Fisher was just a step away from the top. That doesn't mean that I did not cheer for you every game (I did) or that I hated on you after ( I try not to). My senior year (when Fisher beat Cortland in a bowl game) Fisher was just one step away. You are the building blocks for sure/.
GO FISHER!!!

That was my Senior year too...

I was only kidding about the "hate" comment!

Don't need to apologize or explain anything!

Ah I just feel like it. Not going to lie. That was the year I fell in love with D3 football. How much fun it was. What a fun year. My dad went to C-state (sorry), and when you beat them it was a great day for me.
GO FISHER!!!

Just got back from Growney.
What a great time!
Great to see the Doctors again!
A few thoughts-Fishers offense is really that good.  The line play was dominant.  The d played a great game and I was pleasantly surprised with the ability to put pressure on the Qb.
I saw a complete game by fisher today.
Today was the measuring stick game.....Without a doubt this team as a LEGIT chance to go 10-0

"They're obviously two good wideouts, and not to bash them but we've seen two comparable wideouts in the Union game. So, we've played some good receivers this year. Obviously we have to know where they are on the field because out of the 100 (101) completions that the quarterback has had this year, 60 (66) have been to those two receivers.  But you don't want to overemphasize because they do have other threats that can beat us.""

-Ithaca CB Mike Conti in the Ithaca Journal

Ryan Schmidt- 9 rec, 160yds, 1 TD
Ryan Francis- 5 rec, 88yds, 2 TDs

I think they should have overemphasized...

Upstate - Well played...
I am not a salt in the wound kind of guy- but

Screw Ithaca..............

Old IC Voice

I realize this is a weird tangent, but considering the debate about how weak the East may be/has been in the past, I figured I'd bring it up here. Hobart beat Union today. Next week, Union, now 2-2, plays 2-4 St. Lawrence, who doesn't have a loss yet in Liberty League play (and who beat Hobart last week).

If St. Lawrence wins (which is far from a given, given the game is in Schenectady), don't they become the FAVORITES in the Liberty League, even at 3-4? Suddenly, they're faced with three very winnable conference games: Home against RPI, at U of R, and home against WPI.

Meanwhile, Union has two tough OOC games: Home against Salisbury, and at Springfield. They've also got two more LL games, but they're more winnable: At RPI and home against Merchant Marine.

My point: We could VERY conceivably see a 5-loss team from the Liberty League make the playoffs. This is an honest question: What are the chances of this happening in one of the three other regions in the bracket?
