Sax8- If AU holds Fisher to 13 then I will throw out my new Fisher Alumni hat.

And oh btw- it is my new fav. hat so it is going noplace.....because there is NO way Fisher scores under 2 tds

I was just going to say...He is predicting Alfred will hold Fisher's offense to a lower point total than what Hartwick, RPI, Frostburg State, St. Lawrence and Springfield put up against them.

That's one theory...

I've seen better Fisher offenses put up less points...

Wow.  NO way.  Good to know.  I just love metaphysical certitude.

On Saxon Warriors!!

With all due respect Sax8 there is no way that you have seen a better Fisher O.
Rob was magic behind that line in his day and there was magic in 06, but all things being equal- The O that fisher is putting on the field this year is deeper and more talented as a whole than any Fisher O that I have ever seen-and Ive see a few

Haha I guess Im just a skeptic.  And I think that team in 06 was without a doubt, the best Fisher Offense I have seen.  What I keep going back to though, is I remember their QB wasn't that impressive.  So maybe that's the difference maker now? They have the complete offense? I'm not sure.

But like I said before, I haven't seen them play and you guys have.  So I'm wrong to say that the team in 06 was better because I honestly don't really know.  But it's VERY hard for me to compare them to the likes of Farenbach and Robinson.  Plus that O-line was very impressive.

No you really haven't

The one time Alfred held Fisher to under two scores this decade was in 2005 and this offense is certainly better than that one.

Plus Brady the one man wrecking crew isn't going to be playing defense for Alfred this weekend.

I still stay with my prediction.  Its how I see AU's gameplan working out.  They aren't going to let it turn into a shootout.  Alfred has an incredible offense but whats impressive about them is that they can seemingly choose which way they want to gameplan.  They aren't 1 dimensional like most teams (not saying Fisher is) but I really see them giving Fisher's Offense very few opportunities.

Does anybody consider either of the last two games between Fisher and AU a shootout?

As a neutral observer, I think Fisher has AU outgunned. I get the Saxons are probably ticked off, but if the AU defense allowed a decent amount of points to an RPI offense that looked anemic earlier this season, I think the Cardinals have no trouble punching it into the end zone several times.

Score prediction: Fisher 31, Alfred 17.

I'm going to predict a low scoring game.  I'll say 20-13 in favor of Alfred...

AU has only held SJF under 29 points once since 2001 and that was in 2005.  Just in case you forgot, Brenton Brady doesn't play for AU any longer...

Since 2006 only Mount Union has held SJF to under 20 points and AU is no Mount Union...

Yeah, Robinson missed a huge chunk of that year with a separated shoulder and Suchyna was having real consistency issues towards the end of the year...

The 2010 offense blows the 2005 offense out of the water...

As well as the 2005 AU defense blows the 2010 AU defense out of the water...

2009 wasn't but in 2008 the score was 36-33, that's a good chunk of points...

The points scored by RPI was not necessarily to blame the Alfred D.  Yes, they scored and a TD is a TD.  But AU was turning the ball over in their own territory.  It wasn't hard for an anemic offense to put up 24 points when they only have less that 35-40 yards to go for a score.

I'm not disputing that but how many players of the year does Fisher have on this year's offense? All American's?  That's all I'm saying.  That's what I'm going off of.  Yes, I understand they are media awards but you are downplaying the capability of those teams in the past and hyping a relatively new offense that is, to me, not quite proven.

Beat Alfred.  Prove me wrong.  But AU in 07 smacked around teams really well until we went to Hobart, Ithaca and Fisher.  Their offense was "not quite ticking" either and still putting up 40 points a game.
