i do enjoy this hype for the game!
i am wondering tho
isnt the RPI team that beat AU the same team that got shelled by UC?
dont know what to take from that

No offense because I love the insight but thats a little too political... And sort of the same reason AU was held out of the playoffs in 06 so I'm a little extra sensitive.  AU was 9-2 and only had lost to IC in conference and because we lost to IC and IC had lost to Lycoming, then some team that beat Lycoming made it in over us...

sax 8 i wasnt being political.
i was just wondering what team was going to show up
After SatErday ill be interested to see ther AU/UC game...
that one could be epic

AU finishes with
Fisher
Rochester
Ithaca
Utica

That is a tough schedule- no matter who is up or down.
Getting out of there with only one loss seems to be a good thing

dlippiel

dlip is hoping the Pride run all over the Bombers on Saturday. This is a key contest for Springfield even though IC is down this year. To get the W Springfield must hold IC in the higest regard and treat this game as a playoff.

GO PRIDE

Yes Brennan was on that team.
Great All american- went to the Aztec bowl as well.

At the end of the year there are going to be many accolades for this offense.
No doubt about it.
one that sticks out is:
POY- Bailey
book it

If/when Fisher gets the AQ (by beating Alfred), Bailey is the easy choice for POY.  The only one that can even come close to catching him is Secky...

Bailey is POY regardless. A 25/5 TD/INT ratio and 286 yards per game vs. 13/9 and 233 with identical comp %'s? And we're calling this a debate? Benkwitt's having a better year than Secky. Heck, Zappia's not that far off from him. The completion percentage is much worse, but the interception total is much lower and the yardage total is identical.

Secky's the third best QB in the conference right now. Bailey is the clear player of the year.

I am not disagreeing...the only reason I am not announcing him as the winner yet is because there is still a few football games left to play.  What happens if Alfred runs the table in the E8 (which includes beating SJF), and then SJF gets upset again by Springfield?  It's really, really unlikely that will happen...but if the above scenario occurs, and Secky has ridiculous numbers the rest of the way, and Bailey (as unlikely as it would be) tails off and has average stats in two conference losses...who would you vote for then?

Just saying...that's all.  My vote today is easily Bailey...but there is still a ton of football left.  When (if) Bailey and SJF beat Alfred...you can pretty much call the guy that engraves the POY trophy and make sure that he spells Bailey with an "e"...

My vote would still be Bailey. At worst, he's going to have a dozen more touchdowns and he'll throw around 5-6 fewer interceptions. And even with a game in hand for Secky, the final yardage totals won't be close. And the records will probably be similar. The H2H is only a tiebreak if it's close, in my mind. This isn't If Bailey never threw another TD and Secky never threw another pick, Bailey's numbers would still be better at the end of the year. And what about Benkwitt?

Sorry, I misinterpreted the context of the post... I am actually wondering that myself.  It's very disconcerning to know that what they are capable of i.e losing to a less than stellar RPI team.  But I guess any team that goes into a homecoming game as a visiting opponent and turns over the ball in their own territory, kind of has it coming.  I think this weekend should live up to its hype, otherwise I will be terribly disappointed.

So what happens if say AU beats Fisher and IC but loses to UC? Hypothetically speaking of course...

I know it's been said on here but the wind was a huge factor in the game vs RPI...

Taken from Dew's ATR article...

Into the wind-
AU: 29 plays, 66 yards
RPI: 26 plays, 81 yards

With the wind-
AU: 51 plays, 303 yards
RPI: 37 plays, 208 yards

I wouldn't put too much stock in the AU/RPI game. AU was on the road, at RPI's homecoming, with weather conditions to deal with, against a team with some talent but having a down year, the week before the biggest game of their season. That has a trap game written all over it. And from what I understand, RPI jumped out to a big lead, and then held on for dear life. I think AU will bring it's best effort to the game this weekend, I just honestly think Fisher has too much for them.
GO FISHER!!!

Kind of worried about that myself.  I've heard a lot of what Fisher's got so I'm very interested to see how it plays out.

What if I can't make it to the game, is is broadcast anywhere?

hahahaha harsh!! I guess that's expected though... I mean, I'm sure you're implying that you wouldn't want to watch that boring triple option football...

Haha just kidding Pride fans!

I honeslty wish I was able to play triple option QB.  I did it during practice and lets just say, I'm not Chris Sharpe.  They called in WR Milton Harding to do it and he was just a tad bit more effective than me   ;)
