Updated list:

Robinson
Boltus
Garcon
Manzer
Sharpe
that thick necked LB, Rich something I think, from UE that played with Isiah Kaczevyski

I've changed my vote to Rich Something...

Unfortunetly, I was never able to see him play.

There's always that kid from Hartwick too that was just before Boltus.  I think he was the D3 career leader in TD passes with like 70 something? Can't remember his name but I do remember watching film of him. Obviously no one tops Boltus QB wise, he was on a whole different level.  But I do like the list gathered so far.

I think IC might have a shot with Esposito too... I think that was his name? The WR that had like close to 200 yards against us when they won the E8 in 05?

It would be interesting to see if this whole thing was polled... Not saying its unfair in the least bit, but WR's are definitely at a disadvantage because they might only get to touch the ball 8 times a game.

I do have to say, when I was playing against these guys, the one that gave me the biggest headache was Sharpe, without a doubt.  With Boltus, every time the ball was snapped, you knew he was capable of something but I think the fact that I only lost to Hartwick once while he was there, made me fear him less? I'm not sure.

But in Robinson's case, I was not impressed with him in 05.  But in 06, I remember thinking he was incredible.  The AU/SJF game he ran all over.  And what he did against MUC was incredible.  But I do remember that Fisher changed their tailback around a lot? It sort of made me to lose track of him sometimes while he was out there, there would be a nice run or TD score, and I wouldn't even remember who actually scored or made the play.  I remember Robinson and I think a running back #5? And another kid.  So maybe that is what hurt my impression of how stellar he actually was...

Rich Pasquale.  Great kid and football player.

Ran a mean option with Parker and Scott in the backfield.  That was one of the best Ithaca teams I have ever watched.

That is his older brother.

Yeah. Tough break too. Hurt his leg during the 1988 season and got replaced--although they split time later in the season--by Todd Wilkowski

Good morning all.  While we are all getting excited about the game at AU this weekend,  I want to change the subject a bit.  Why is Springfield leaving the E8? Does anybody know?  I apologize if this topic has already been discussed.  If it has, I missed it.

On Saxon Warriors!!

Is it Saterday yet?

The biggest reason is the travel.  With the addition of Buff State (and two temp southern teams), the future of the conference in terms of travel was kind of up in the air.  They basically reduced their overnight trips in half by changing conferences.

Also word out of Rhode Island that they might be looking to change conferences to the NE-10 and leaving the CAA because of travel issues.

I'm assuming proximity.  It's anywhere from 6-9 hours from Alfred, Ithaca, Fisher, and Utica. Spending all that time on a bus before a game is no way to play a season.  The only close game in conference is Hartwick.

With the new conference forming on the Coastal schools, Springfield probably wont be subject to as long road trips and vice versa with their opponents.

Plus Brady the one man wrecking crew isn't going to be playing defense for Alfred this weekend.

NEWS FLASH!!!     NEWS FLASH!!!     NEWS FLASH!!!     NEWS FLASH!!!     NEWS FLASH!!!
This just in from Mayberry: It has been reported that the Bioengineering Department at Alfred University had experimented with a Brenton Brady blood sample this summer and, most remarkably, concocted a gamma globulin that, when injected into the bloodstream of another individual, results in transformation of the recipient into a nearly perfect derivative.  It is further reported that the supply of 100 doses of the gamma globulin are missing.

I thought AU was just a ceramic school...

I figured the only thing the knew how to derive from another subject was ceramic gnomes...

But in Robinson's case, I was not impressed with him in 05.

You sure you saw him in '05?  I'm pretty sure he tore up his knee in our game in the middle of the season.  You guys played them towards the end.

He might have come back late in the season, but I thought it was an ACL.

EDIT: Looking back at the stats it looks like Robinson played 6 games that year.  Our game was week 4.  So  it looks like he played at the end of the season.

Honestly, I dont remember.  I thought he was there for the AU Fisher game which was the last of the season but I really dont know at all.  Could be the exact reason I dont remember him from the game...
