I talked with a few AU parent about the quote from Bailey, and while I think the quote was blown way out p proportion, they were upset by it and I am sure that played a roll. here is my drunk 2 cents. Seckey is a great QB but his dad is a Dick. I know that will blast the karma, but I talked with him most of the 2nd half, and he is a jerk.

MY Karma will probably get hit for this, but true or not this isn't the place to insult a player's parents.

Unless they come on here crowing like idiots about their kid, as we have seen. winmag, anyone?? And who was that grandparent that would tell those half-a-page long stories that were supposed to teach us lessons or something.... no, no, besides pep... :)

lol, then he's fair game like if a player came on here and started yapping.

I agree with you there, that guy came on here

Or coaches....didn't a Cortland coach come on here a few years back and end up getting fired for it?
Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all time thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is habit.

Roland "Rollie" O'Brien #8 picked up where he left off last year at Growney.

O'Brien was the punt coverage Saxon who, late in the game, robbed the Fisher punt returner of the ball inside the 5 and stepped into the end zone to give AU a 28-21 lead.

O'Brien finished with 3 tackles, an assist, and 2 pass break-ups today in addition to his INT returned 28 yards (breaking a couple tackles) to open the scoring.

AU did exactly what the Saxons needed to do...play error-free ball. It was by far Secky's best game of 2010 as he went 21 of 27 for 211 yards and 3 TDs. (Ryan Thon had the other TD pass, a 47-yarder to E.J. Beauford).

Pep was pleased with the crowd at the game, announced to be 4,125, although disappointed that Fisher doesn't bring more. Pep did not spot the Fisher posters...but obviously there were a few here. Safe travels to all.

Yes... maxpower even made a nice little wikipedia article on the subject that was promptly taken down...

but the whole story is that your boy upstate actually ratted the guy out to his head coach...

Hey, if it's that IC library story, you can tell that all day!

pg04

Nice! Pep's Pops has missed THREE home games since 1937. (Some family members don't know that you don't die or get married during football season!) Yeah, Pep was brought up by a Saxon fan. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Pep's best stories usually start with: "This one time at Band Camp...."

Y'all will please pardon Pep for his onslaught of posts. Pep's all giddy like a school girl.

this is so painful to see i cant express it in words
not that AU doesnt have EVERY right to enjoy the momment
Boys you have every right to be proud and happy.
You out coached, out played, out gutted Fisher today.
What hurts the most is that this was supposed to be the year to finally get over the AU bump.
Hats off to ya--Yes Sax 8 i get to keep it---scored more than 13 :P
This could set up some interesting games down the stretch...
Go Utica College?
Go IC?
Ouchie

saxontad

Am I mistaken or does this win make the Ithaca game in two weeks even more intriguing?

maxpower

You're mistaken. Win or lose Alfred gets the auto bid... unless they lose to Utica. Which is not impossible.
