Thoughts on the games:

Fisher-- Nothing to say. Frostburg was walking into a angry Fisher team, and had no shot

IC/Utica-- Best effort of the season for the Bombers. Kind of a sloppy game all around with seven turnovers. Bombers offense sputtered in the second half but Utica just looked awful. You're not going to win a road game against a team like IC with four fumbles. 40th straight winning season for the Bombers (I think).

Alfred-- Ugh. I hate to say it, but this is the kind of game that's keeping Alfred's program down. I know it doesn't affect the conference race at all, and with a win next week they get it, but to lose a game at home to a 1-5 Rochester team...

I want to say it was a trap game, what with it coming after a big win, and IC on the horizon, but frankly, that's not the case here, because I don't believe it should have mattered with the quality of Rochester.

This week will tell us a LOT about Alfred's team. They've got an IC team that's traditionally beat them coming off of two very good wins. The Saxons have to put this one behind them quickly and not let the season spiral. I think they'll be ok, but you just never know how a team will react to a really bad loss.

is this correct?  I think we can still have a 3 way conference tie between SJF-IC-AU all at 4-1, with SJF taking it with only 1 overall loss as the 1st tiebreaker...oh, nevermind, because if AU beats IC, that removes IC fron the 1 loss category and puts SJF ag. AU and AU gets the nod,,,,EVEN THOUGH THEY LOST TO RPI AND ROCHESTER..... >:( ???

SJFF82

...hey, maybe AU will get some of that National respect AUSaxon8 was clamoring for, now that they lost to a 1 win Rochester squad  ;D

only thing more embarrassing is losing to the team that loses to RPI and UR!

wait, only thing more embarrassing than THAT is losing to THAT team! and then IC gets into the picture. Thanks AU, for making the whole E8 look bad :)

Springfield will have lost to both of them. Fail Pride!

Absolutely pathetic.  Someone early in the season predicted 7-3 for AU.  It is going to be 6-4.

SUNY-Maritime defeated Norwich 20-2.  Is now the only Eastern Team with an undefeated record...

SC cannot win E8 at this point correct...if they beat SJF and IC beats AU, then IC wins 3 way between IC-SC-AU (assuming AU beats UC)...man this stuff hurts my pea-brain....just bring on MUC.... :(

Wohoo!!

SUNY Maritime for the #1 seed!!

Congrats to the Bombers on another winning season! Linfield will have another winning season so we're still second but quite an accomplishment!

Props to Ithaca's defense for shutting down a very high powered passing attack.  For all the talk UC has been getting this year and week the defense shut them down.

Solid performance from the offense as well.  Vossler is only a few catches away from the school record now (5 I think).

Overall great job! Kept their NCAA playoff hopes alive!

Seriously?

If the Pride beat Fisher and IC beats AU, Fisher would have two league losses and IC would have the tiebreaker against AU.  Right?
Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all time thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is habit.

I was at Growney today. Fisher won pretty easily, and had a ton of offense in the first half, but it was still a little sloppy. Turnovers and penalties, but the game was never really in doubt. Good win, and hopefully they can be ready for SC next week. They need to play better to beat SC, but I am sure they will be ready to go.

The AU loss got a cheer at Fisher, but it really does nothing for us. Correct me if I am wrong but if IC beats AU, then Fisher gets in with a 3 way tie (AU, IC, SJF)? If AU loses to both then Fisher gets in with the AQ over IC. IF AU beats IC and loses to UC AU is in over Fisher. And, if AU wins both they are in over Fisher? I think that is how it works.

One more thing. It looks like the lack of a bye week is starting to catch up with Fisher a little bit. Borum did not play again today, and Ryan Francis was out with a walking boot on in the second half today. Hopefully it is nothing serious, but did they mention anything on the radio, or does anyone know what is going on with either of them. Fisher looked good on offense today but I think they are really missing Borum, because it forces Kramer to play RB rather than be a slash type player.
GO FISHER!!!

It would not be a three way tie...

In that scenario, Fisher would have two conference losses. IC and Alfred would have one. Two-way tie, Ithaca wins the head to head

SJF was also w/o starting DT Adam Kinney as well...

I agree with you about the Borum injury kind of limiting the role Kramer can play...

He's good at RB but it kind of takes a chunk out of the passing game...

Also, how fast was the offense today in terms of no huddle?  It seemed as though they were full go all day today...

sjfcards

By the way, impressive win for IC today. My wife read me the score on the way home from Fisher, and I didn't believe her. I really think UC is a good team this year, and it looks like IC just took them behind the woodshed today.
GO FISHER!!!
