St. Law. makes the playoffs and fisher is scheduling time at the spa.
god what a tough pill

Just got back from the game.  We were quite dominant, even with a ton of penalties.  The o-line blocked huge holes for Dwyer.  I suppose that even if we win at Utica, it would be a lot to expect to get a home playoff game.

On Saxon Warriors!!

So... Playoffs wise we have SUNY-Maritime, Alfred, St. Lawrence, NEFC Rep, NJAC Champ, NJAC Pool C, Del Val and of course MTU.

I'm still thinking one of the NJAC teams is going to be left out.  How they are going to make that decision, who knows.

Thoughts on the games

IC-Alfred...well the Bombers walked into a buzzsaw. Held their own after the 1st quarter, but the opening stanza was the a debacle. Dwyer is legit and the Bomber D had no answer. Zappia did ok, but he's had to carry the offense the whole season. Not much you can do there. Alfred made the plays. I guess I can't be too upset because the writing's been on the wall for the season. A win over Cortland makes it a solid 7-3. A loss would signal another step back for the program

Fisher/Springfield...absolutely a shocker, but sometimes that triple option can do that to you. I mean, I know Fisher was the favorite, but Springfield is probably going to go 8-2 this season, so it's not like they lost to a mediocre team. The Pride had probably the quietest season (maybe that's because their fans don't post here) in awhile, but they're pretty good. Hopefully Bailey's ok if Fisher decides to do an ECAC game.

Yeah, Fisher had a Pool C shot, but who knows what would have happened with three NJAC teams poised to go 9-1? It does seem like Fisher's spinning their wheels a bit compared to where they were a few years ago, but all things considered

IC will make it pretty easy with a 30-point win next week  ;D

Not if Cortland wins their tiebreaker, then the game doesn't matter.

Yeah, I assumed you were talking about a Pool C bid for them, my bad

Since the NJAC decides who takes the automatic bid, the NCAA could simply take the head-to-head winner of the game between the other two.

But that would be logical and defensible, not things committees are necessarily known for.

quick question to those that were at the fisher debacle....what was the personal foul excessive celebration call, along with the "shove" of the official.
I saw the helmet throw so i understand that one but it seemed that there were some weird calls today

Upstate is a bitter man.

Sorry I don't like it when other teams cant win a playoff game vs Curry (twice) and a lower seeded Albright team...

yeah... at least some of the players on this year's IC team have experienced the playoffs... :D

They also experienced the embarrassment of losing to Curry at home...

The celebration one was a joke...they called him for "spiking" the ball...the shove was a little less of a shove, but they're gonna flag you for any contact with an official

Wow, what a sore loser.  Sorry, it's just true.

to whom are you referring?

Frankly, the whole conference has been a disaster in the postseason/getting to the postseason for three years, and we can all point to other team's failures. It is what it is. Hopefully Alfred steps up in the playoffs and helps us out
