Sox
you are right-

Colgate had ryan listed as an rb or wr.
i think that he is suited for that slot/rb wr

He would be used very well that way.

hopefully fisher has someone else in the pipeline as we graduate both the starter and backup qb
that is a nasty hole to fill

Im sure they have something with all of the recruits they get but you are right... if you do not a have a quality signal caller it can completely disrupt an entire team

There is someting to be said about taking snaps with the varsity squad.
I dont know if there was a 3rd stringer that i dont know about, but this isnt something new- they knew it was coming.

Because of the way the NJAC is, if SJF had won last week against SC, is it correct to assume they would still miss out on the Pool C bid?

I doubt it.  Obviously the point is moot...but I have a hard time believing that the committee would choose 3 x NJAC teams and leave a one loss Fisher team out.  I still don't think all 3 NJAC teams will get in (assuming they all win this weekend), and may only get the champ.  I think someone is going to get screwed.  My bet is the following (numbers are not seeds...just counting to 8 teams):

1) MUC (Import)
2) Alfred (E8)
3) NJAC #1 (Montclair State, Cortland, or Rowan)
4) NJAC #2 (Montclair State, Cortland, or Rowan)
5) St. Lawrence (Liberty League)
6) Del Valley (MAC)
7) NEFC (Who cares)
8) SUNY-Maritime (Pool B)

What I am worried about, is that they leave whoever they determine is the #2 NJAC out in the cold and import another team (like Randolph Macon that one year).

I know it's early, but you've got the AQ so there's no "looking ahead".... who do the AU posters WANT to see in the first round? Why?

I'll take a crack at this.  I'd love a 5 seed and a trip to Throggs Neck, if I had my druthers.  Even better, send SUNY-Maritime to Merrill, but with two losses that's a pipe dream.  After that, a trip to Cortland would be fun (and short).  The only other matchup I'd like would be a trip to Montclair since I could crash at a friend's house in my old stomping grounds and one of my good childhood buddies went there.

On the other side of the equation, I don't want any part of Rowan right now (or the long trip to Glassboro).  And a 3-6 matchup with Rowan could be a possibility if Cortland loses Cortaca yet still wins the AQ.  I could also see a scenario where the Maritimes playoff and Alfred at the 6 seed gets sent to Del Valley and they're good, so I'd prefer to avoid them in the first round.

DVC would be much higher.. I know it's not seed, but still.

Rodney Saxonfield is officially dead.  Alfred vs. Utica is listed in the Top 25 Scoreboard widget even though neither team is ranked.

And let me be the first to say that Alfred is overrated.

Hey, look at that Kaz.... AU travels to Rowan if this holds. And there would be no maritime bowl as MSU is within travel range for MM....

Kind of why I said they weren't seeds...I was just listing teams...last time I checked it was 8 teams per Region...

If you are arguing the merits of making sure I name Del Valley first simply to say their name first, and to make sure I don't disrespect them...save it...

Montclair is far from a lock right now.  If Montclair doesn't go, then it's more likely that Alfred goes to Cortland on my board.
