cards- no zem...his career is done.

o and d line gets decimated.
not thinking that this is going to be a season to look forward to.
not too happy

Fisher has had some luck in the past changing over classes on the line (especially on the O line). I guess that is the glimmer of hope for us. I would be fine if Kramer was used as the QB next year to replace Bailey, and if they can find another back up even better. They will have some talent on the field anyway. Maybe it is me just being optimistic.
GO FISHER!!!

cards- they do have talent.
no doubt.
qb up in the air. lines get killed.
it will have to be a special situation if they get to the postseason.

Going by the D3FB top 25 rankings, there was not a SINGLE upset today. Boooooring!

Congrats to AU again, for a very impressive win today. I'm looking forward to maybe seeing some of you next week when AU comes to town.
GO FISHER!!!

Yes, congrats to Alfred.  Good to see an E8 team win.

But seriously ECFC?  Your conference champ that went 10-0 and ran the gamut goes down 50-0 at halftime?! I don't really follow other conferences than the E8 but that has to be worst conference in the past decade.  I know Alfred is a good team but 50-0?!

Alfred vs. Cortland should be a good matchup.  Hopefully Alfred can pull it off.  Where would the game be? Cortland right?

D3 football presents an opportunity that other D3 sports don't with their limited number of teams in the playoffs.  One week into the playoffs and there are already only 16 teams left.  It just seems like it gets whittled down real fast...

It's terrible for Eastern Region football that the ECFC will be sending a team to the playoffs every season as a Pool A.  Seriously, is the only criteria for getting a Pool A seed finding 7 patsies to join together?  William Paterson would have run the table in the ECFC and at least stayed within 4 touchdowns of Alfred.
Justin Bieber created 666 false D3 identities to give me negative karma.

its funny- while listening to the Fisher broadcast, they mentioned that while Fisher didnt win the games that they needed to in order to take care of business to get into the ncaas-but  what good does it do sending a team that is such a paper tiger that the game is over at the midway point in the 2nd quarter?
honestly....an AQ for that conference?
really?

I agree.  What qualifies a conference for Pool B? Is it # of teams, quality of play, etc.?  If it is a subjective then the NCAA needs to re-evaluate the conference.  If it is an objective process then the East region will have to suffer through it..

pg04

Any team that is independent or is in a conference not big enough to be a Pool A conference is eligible for a Pool B.  There are 3 each year.

pg04

I should say there are 3 this year.  The number changes based on eligible teams.

Interesting aside that Alfred coach D. Murray was defensive architect of Cortland return to prominence in the late 80s into the 90s, first as a defensive coach and then head coach. All class as is current Cortland pilot D. MacNeill. Teams have scrimmaged in recent past, even when AU administration declined a regular season game despite same open dates. Just part of the private/public sector rift that sent Cortland to New Jersey. A softening? Is that Buffalo St. bound for E8?

All three d3 gurus picked Hampden-Sydney over Montclair St.  That's the closest we'll get to an upset for the first round.
