I remember that.  Bergerstock's numbers: 32 carries for 270 rushing yards and FIVE touchdowns.  It's funny that Rogowski was actually the kicker for that game - seems so long ago.

Rogowski is the Gary Anderson of the Bombers.

14-13 at the UC-Salisbury game, one of the UC linemen had to be taken off on a stretcher after a touchdown run from Jake Larson. Edit: 14-all, early second quarter.

Old IC Voice

IC tops Hartwick 27-13 in a game that was much closer than the final score indicates. Hartwick actually outgained IC in terms of total yardage. Without Dan Ruffrage's big day (75 receiving yards, a TD catch, and a huge kickoff return for a score) and the pick-six at the end, you could make the argument that IC would have lost the game.

The positives for IC: It's a win. Hendel did fine, especially in the first half, but he did throw two picks. IC's defense forced four turnovers, including the 95-yard INT return for a score at the end of the game.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The Cage is in IC's head. The score shows a team that was considerably better than its opponent on that given day, but the stats and the way the game was played say otherwise.

It was a tale of two halves for both sides of the ball for the Bombers.  In the first half, both sides of the ball looked like they could beat anyone in the league.  The offense looked capable of moving the ball, didn't give up a turnover and the defense was lights out.  The second half saw tthree Bomber turnovers, the passing game was 2-9 with 2 picks, and Hartwick was able to have two long/sustained TD drives.  Both sides of the ball got ultra conservative and Hartwick was able to get back into the game.  Special teams won the game for the Bombers today; two blocked kicks and a kickoff returned for a TD were the difference.   Also, credit should be given to Hartwick as they are a solid team - they will pick up a conference win or two.  I think everyone expected IC to roll Hartwick but they hung in there throughout the game.

Huge game next week against Fisher.  This game will most likely dictate the season for the Bombers.  A win will put them at 2-1 and in the thick of the E8 playoff race.  A loss and they would have to win out and get a lot of help to have any shot of a tiebreaker scenario with a few 2-loss teams.  The Bombers are right where they were expected to be at this point of the year.  3 of their 5 road games are out of the way - which is key as they have struggled on the road last season (1-4 last year).  GO BOMBERS.

Wow, Wow, Wow, Fisher played great tonight and beat AU. A huge win for Fisher.
GO FISHER!!!

Points allowed by Fisher's defense this year:

7 against Buff State
3 against U of R
56 against Hobart
3 against Alfred

I don't think I'll ever understand how the defense can look so dominant one week and so terrible another.

Our offense still sucks but a nice win nevertheless.

Boob- we just beat AU!
Didnt you at least enjoy it for a nanosecond?

boobyhasgameyo

Of course I enjoyed it, I enjoy pretty much every Fisher win.  I just don't enjoy our offense - it's pretty vanilla and largely ineffective.  Our defense was exceptional today.

I heard some of the Alfred faithful joking around at the beginning of the game poking fun at Fisher and saying how they were going to route us out of our own building...funny they left with about 5 minutes left in the 4th when it was clear they weren't going to do anything substantial against our defense.  That part I particularly enjoyed.

I talked to an AU dad last night and he paid for his daughter to go to the game KNOWING that they were going to ROLL Fisher!
I cant wait to see him out this week!!!
