I agree with one of the IC posters that a lot of this speculation and conjecture has more to do with the historical relationship between Fisher and Rochester, and I don't mean on the football field, but rather institutionally.

I think what people are ignoring is that UofR is the most national of all the schools in NY State, perhaps in the entire east region.  I'm sure someone will tout their school's communications program or engineering or whatever, but it's really true that Rochester is more concerned with outside of Rochester, perhaps outside of NY State much more than they are with Fisher, Brockport, etc.

How about this, UofR doesn't see a reason to keep the game in their view as it relates to the schedule going forward, their relationship with the city or Fisher, institutional considerations, etc.  That doesn't mean they're lowlife's or suggest anything about their character.  The results are judged on whether the decision they make results in the outcomes they desired and/or hypothesized to occur.

And how is a rumor that the UofR AD ran over to Mervis to say the game is over get thrown out, is repeated by at least one other, all after it's proven that this isn't the case, and yet no one's called out on that?  That sort of thing calls more character into question than anything that can be derived from this non-journalistic article (and I say that having had a great professor and friend at Hobart who's wife worked at the D&C for many years, so I have some relationship to that firm as well).

how....was it you groomsman's third uncle twice removed, by marriage, that graduated from UR, you believe, that proved that the AD didnt go up to Mervis after the game?

Read the article.  The AD states that no decision has been made.  I guess since you know that everyone affiliated with UofR "is like that", you're proof that this did occur and that he's clearly lying based on your expertise of every human being ever affiliated with UofR.  My mistake.  Everyone at UofR is a scumbag and everyone at SJFC is a humble, classy person.  Never mind the incredibly nasty illegal chop blocking the OLineman were notorious for in the 90's and that I personally experienced first hand on the field.

Now Pep is just hoping his Saxons don't poop on the Frostburg turf this Saterday.

Or worse, that they don't simply follow Frostburg all over the field, rubbing themselves....

Gosh, Max, if Pep could, he'd give you another +K for "well remembered." (You remember that Library Assistant Workshop Story?)  :o

I do... didn't someone around here have it as their signature for a while? Go Bombers! Go Pep! Go DIII! Glowstick glowstick glowstick!

Wow...where do I begin....

So at least I know why you attack my credibility....because you got chop-blocked in the 90's...OK???

And because the AD told the newspaper, perhaps something different than what I heard, that makes the news article (the same article you ripped in a post on here by the way) more accurate....OK???

....in what post did I depict UR the way you are claiming I depicted them.  I simply offered what I believed to be a fact (AD going up to Mervis) and then offered my opinion of the football program as it related to my own personal experience with them....

Next time you doubt what I claim to be accurate though, go ask the OAC Board who told them about Fisher striking a deal 2 play a home and home with MUC 6 months before it was announced.  I had posters calling me out claiming that they called the MUC AD, and he told them no way....but it happened.

And I posted this story about the Courage Bowl 2 weeks before it was reported here....so how do you think I knew it was going on....maybe because the AD did run up to Mervis after the game and my info was correct....No?

Do you think the AD ran up to Mervis after the game and said...."I havent made up my mind about playing you guys anymore"?

Go back and see who reported that Blaise Faggiano had left SJF and was hired by Utica....just ask DewCrew how inaccurate that info was....

Hmmm....On another note :o
Too bad dew isnt on much...
Would love to get a take on this weeks game.
Ive seen both teams play numerous games.
Any UC faithful out there got a feeling on this one?
If Fishers D comes to play like that have been the past 4 weeks it may be a tough day for Benkwit and crew.

I heard the Utica AD ran up to Mervis today, and guaranteed a Utica victory...

....more to come in the Democrat and Chronicle......

That Fisher Defense better show up to play. One thing I think Utica an do is score, and Benkwitt is a quality QB. I think Fisher will hold them in chek like IC did but Fisher should assume that they will need to score like they have the last two weeks to beat UC.
GO FISHER!!!

I don't think that SJF will have a problem scoring against Utica...considering they are giving up almost 34 points per game.  Taking away the anomoly of the 70 points they gave up to Salisbury, and they are still giving up almost 28 points per game.

If the D comes to play like I think it will, 82's number is a little high for UC...
I think they get maybe one TD.  Look what they did to Springfield.....

drt

I don't think Fisher should worry about Utica.  They have a much bigger fish to fry the next Saturday ;)
Utica has developed much better offensive balance lately and it will be interesting to see how their defense steps up.

fisheralum91

Please-Fisher SHOULD worry about Utica.

Dont get caught looking ahead.
Blaise would like nothing better than to not only beat his alma mater, but beat his former employer!
That said, that Fisher D is nasty.  That was no fluke that they shut down a very solid Springfield O.

They have been doing that all year on the defensive side of the ball, but I am more excited to see the running get going in the last few weeks than anything else. If Fisher can run the ball and keep the ball away from other teams, it opens up the passing game and makes the defense that much better. Keeping the other teams offense off the field and giving them fewer opportunities allows the D to give up 3, 7, or 10 rather than 17, 20, etc.

Those few points are a big deal to this Fisher Offense.
GO FISHER!!!

I came across this article on ESPN.com and thought it was interesting. Wondering what everyone else thinks? I will save my thoughts for now, but I have some strong thoughts...
