The Mrs and I will be braving the cold tonight and hopefully witnessing another Fisher victory. We have made every game so far and can't wait for tonight contest.  Go Cardinals!!

I love it. Someday I am going to convince my wife to go to every game for a season. She is a tough nut to crack, but I am working on it. Maybe when our new son is old enough to want to go to the games it will be easier to convince her.

As far as tonight goes, I am real excited. Lets go Cards!!!
GO FISHER!!!

Well the Bomber game wasn't pretty, but it was a W.  The first 55 minutes of the game gave no indication the offense would be able to put together two scoring drives together witover the span of the last five minutes.  Nice to see the team get a break after the way the last three weeks have turned out.  IC easily could have beaten Fisher, Springfield and Utica but the game didn't fall their way - this one did.

I fully expect the next two weeks to be as much of a dogfight as today was.  The defense really excels at home on the grass and points should be at a premium.  This is by no means a bad Bomber TEAM.  Their defense and special teams are as good as any Bomber team the past 8 years I have been around the program.  Obviously, the offense is probably the worst over that same span.

Nice to see the game go IC's way this time around, hopefully their fortunes continue next week.  Will be up next week to hopefully see #23 break the Ithaca receiving yards and receptions records and watch the team take care of Alfred on family day!

Any chance Cortaca has any playoff implications?  I see Cortland is 6-2 but do they have a shot at their conference championship or at-large bid?

It's the worst offense in school history, bar none.

Cortaca will have no playoff implications most likely. Cortland has lost to both teams ahead of it in the NJAC, Montclair and Kean. So they can only get a Pool A bid if the Kean/Montclair loser gets a second loss and Rowan wins out to set up some crazy 4-way tie. Kean's other game is against William Patterson, and Montclair's is against Rowan. So if Montclair beats Kean, and then Rowan beats Montclair, everyone would have two losses. Then maybe Cortland gets in (I don't want to think about that tiebreaker.)

But I don't think a Pool C bid is in the cards

I don't know what to think of this Fisher team. That offense looks much improved, but I don't know if that is the offense starting to click or if they are just playing less talented defenses? I am happy to see them starting to roll teams again, but I don't know what to think of them . I get more and more excited each week...
GO FISHER!!!

The offense is definately executing much better and with balance.  The O-line is big, physical and wears defenses down.  The run defense is absolutely awesome but the pass defense does let teams move the ball at times.  The defense always seems to come up with key turnovers.  Sant and Burdick are playing with confidence at the corners, both had picks again tonight.  Some trouble with penalties but overall playing very well.

hope it is not too early to talk about the big game this weekend between salisbury and fisher.  what do the fisher people think?  i saw salisbury yesterday and they are a pretty good team.  the offense has potential to break a big play anytime.  they play a pretty tough defense too.  i will be heading to salisbury to see the game since i have never seen fisher play.  do not read too much into yesterday's game with wesley as far as the score since as many have stated this was a rivalry game and they are usually played closer.  wesley has beaten salisbury 7 straight times and have figured out how to stop the triple option.  salisbury did throw the ball 11 times yesterday in the crappy weather which was surprising to me.  wesley's weak point on d has been the secondary so that may have been the gulls thinking.  ithaca held them to 21 so they can be stopped.  what should i expect from fisher?

fisheralum91

wesleydad,
that is the fisher enigma.
Even the Fisher faithful dont know what to expect.
I will say this- the D is amazing.
They historically have had trouble with the option, but played extremely well against Springfield.
That said, Salisbuy is in a different league.
All told, this is the E8 championship game, and expect a complete game from Fisher on both sides of the ball.

I posted this in the update board but think it also belongs here:

Usually I wouldn't take the side of Fisher but I have been impressed with their play.  I doubt Utica had a hangover from Ithaca and if they did it was a level 7 hangover.  I must remind people of something.  One of the years Wesley went to the National Semifinals, they lost to a 5-5 Brockport something like 47-0 during the regular season.  It seems like that loss to Wesley was an anomaly and I think This Fisher team's loss to Hobart is too. To me, Fisher would have the chance to run the table in the East--- unfortunately, they'd probably face UMU in the 2nd round (as a 4 or 5 seed -- behind UMU, hobart, and Del Val).

pg- You hit the nail on the head.
I dont even know what team was playing that homecoming sat afternoon, because it sure isnt who rolled UC last night......Hey that reminds me....I won a couple of cases of Utica Club from that game!   ::)

You have more of a historical standpoint than I do so I will take your word for it.  I guess that makes yesterday's comeback even that much more improbable, given the fact they had two scoring drives in the last 2 minutes.

I totally agree, however I believe that St. John Fisher is going to have their hands full against a good Salisbury team. I don't believe they will be down after the loss to Wesley. Also, it is Salisbury Homecoming game and the last two meeting between Salisbury and Fisher has not been pretty for Fisher. The 4 overtime game (Great Game) a couple years back (08 Season), Salisbury was at a disadvantage due to 65% of their starting defense being gone due to suspensions and the game two years ago, Salisbury looked very dominant against Fisher and that Salisbury team did not have the same fire power and defense they have this season. Yet, we will have to see because the performance Fisher put up this week rivals that of Salisbury earlier this season. This upcoming game is going to be great. Cant wait to watch it.

fisheralum91

Count on a good game SUADC.
Fisher has improved each week.
The D is very talented and now the offense has found themselves.
Sals. is no doubt a good team...Look for a shootout this sat.....
Oh BTW, Sals U doesnt move in the polls and Fisher is getting 8 votes?
8?
Really?
