BTW, is Secky hurt?

Well, he certainly hurt something at Fisher, but I think with all the school records in hand and playoffs out of reach, Kilcarr is getting the chance to start after backing up Secky for all four years.

That's an interesting move. Here's something I've wondered, and I'm not trying to start something, but it's been bugging me. Didn't Secky pick up an unsportsmanlike penalty against Salisbury on his last play of that game? Maybe I'm wrong, but I could have sworn I saw that posted. Is it possible him not playing was started by that? Or, maybe, in another out there idea, that the coaches honestly think Kilcarr is the best option? Secky's last three starts were basically one mediocre performance and two train wrecks.

IDK, I'm not trying to paint Secky as a troublemaker or a bum. I mean, yeah, it's nice to reward your long-time backup. That seems like exactly the Alfred thing to do.

But the more I think about it, the more I feel like there has to be something there. It just seems a bit strange for your four-year, record-breaking starter to be on the sidelines if everything is copacetic—especially for multiple games. I could understand doing something like having them alternate series during the final game of the season, which happens to be at home.

I mean, don't get me wrong, It's great for Kilcarr to get his experience, but what about Secky's? Do you want his last experience at Alfred football to be a 69-0 whitewash at home to Salisbury? I can't imagine that's the note they'd want him to go out on (if they can help it).

great point.

I can't make the trip to Salisbury this Sat and just hate to miss the game.  Does anyone know where I could find a live feed to watch the game online?  Thank you.

I don't know of a link, but I watched the Salisbury/IC game earlier this year, so I would imagine that there is one.

At Salisbury or at Ithaca?

The Salisbury athletics page doesn't show anything scheduled on LiveSportsVideo.com, and Empire8.tv doesn't either. Unless you know of a live feed available through Fisher you might be stuck with just radio. Good luck.

St. John Fisher usually would have video, especially for key games. However, tunning into the radio allows you to imagine a little bit. I will be in attendance (hopefully on the sidelines) at the Salisbury vs. St. John Fisher game, it is homecoming for me after all. Can't wait to see a good game between to top teams.

This game is listed as "suprisingly close" on the d3 predictions...

Curious as to who on here would be suprised by a close game...

I certainly wouldnt be suprised by a lopsided loss by SJF, but I dont think that translates to being suprised by a close game....at least for me.  In fact I expect 2 7-1 teams to play a close game.

SUADC

St. John Fisher @ Salisbury - Salisbury pulling away in second half. Salisbury by 21.
Springfield @ Utica - Utica not being able to stop the run game (Still Close). Springfield by 10.
Alfred @ Ithaca - Toss Up, whichever quarterback plays better. Ithaca by 3.
Hartwick @ Frostburg State - Passing teams: whoever runs most effectively. Frostburg by 7.

Here is a link with the video of the Fisher/Salisbury game: http://www.empire8.tv/

The more I read about this game the more it seems that everyone thinks Salisbury is going to win. That is what my head is telling me, but if the Fisher D can have a good day, Fisher may have a chance (Another 5 touchdowns from Kramer would help).

I can't wait to watch it...LETS GO CARDS..

Having seen both teams play, I would be surprised if it is close, say within two touchdowns.  If it is that close, then praise must be sent Fisher's way.  I'll be surprised if it is close and shocked if Fisher wins.  But good luck and safe travel.  Now, I just hope the Saxons are prepared to give a good account of themselves.

I believe that Fisher can beat Salisbury.  This team has improved weekly since the Hobart game, offense, defense and play calling.  I think that coach Parks just had to find out what he had with Kramer at QB and fit the offense around that.  Kramer throws the ball down field enough to Francis and Schmidt to open up the run game.  Miller at running back has been a positive move even if it was by injury,  he is a one cut back that hits the hole very hard and always gets positive yardage.  The Offense may not have a burner but as a whole has very good team speed.

The defense plays very physical and the D-line controls their gaps very well helping the linbackers to make plays.  This defense does seem to give up small chunks in the passing game as the corners tend to play soft but seems like when a QB gets comfrotable making that throw Sant or Burdick come up and take one the other way.  I know all teams have big hitters but Sawyer, Moore and Vosburgh will punish ball carriers all day, they can really bring it.  This defense rarely gives up big plays and lives by the bend some but dont break philosophy and they do get the turnovers needed to be successful.  That is why point totals are down.

I can see Fisher winning this game, I am not saying they will win but this team is capable.

my travels will be taking me to salisbury to see the game today.  i am hoping for a good game.  it sounds like fisher will have to play better than they have all year to have a chance to win.  i agree with several others that this could end in a blowout, but salisbury has put the ball on the ground and the bend dont break philosophy works against a triple option team.  the gulls throw the ball more than usual so fisher will have to respect that.  ithaca held them to 21 and wesley held them to 14 so they can be stopped.  i will be sitting on the fisher side in my wesley gear and hope to meet some of the fisher posters if they are attending the game.  suadc, if you can, find me and say hi, i like your posts and enthusiasm for the gulls.  it will be easier for you to find me, figure i will be the only one in a wesley sweatshirt at the game.  at the least it is a great weather day for a football game, clear and crisp.

Fisher is holding teams to 3.4 yards per carry, which is good, but honestly not dominant. I don't know if that is good enough to stop Salisbury, which is getting better than 7 yards per carry combined from their top 3 backs. I like what the Cardinals are doing on offense lately, but this seems like a game where the Gulls could keep them off the field.
