Someone recently posted in reference to the library assistant workshop....said some poster had used it for a tagline. Pep couldn't remember who had done that...and here you are with the same old Pep quote. +K
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Many of the old guard are gone, but there are a few of us left.
Pep, Kaz and the AU faithful still here.
Cards, 82 and Upstate still here tho he has a new name.
None of the hats here...Viper came back for Cortaca.

FA91 forgot to mention me...do I take offense to that?  Sure.

But do I hold it against him?  Absolutely.

Very nice visitor's stands at Alfred today.  They afforded a great view of the game.
We also enjoyed the pep band very much.  Pep, I was going to look you up, but was
too depressed with UC's handling of the game........
See you next year!

Thanks for coming out, drt.  Wish you had ventured over (or let us know to come look for you), but I completely understand not wanting to be chummy during a game like that.  At least it was sunny and seasonably warm unlike yesterday's constant lake effect snow showers.
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

boob,
Forgive my omission.
I was merely mentioning random names.
Certainly not a personal attack...

That said this Endicott thing has me in a tizzy.
Something needs to be dont to get this straightened out and reward teams who actually play a good sched and not load with cream puffs.

Well look at it this way, if the D3FB.com prediction comes to fruition picking the first round in the UMU bracket will be a piece of cake...

I'm expecting the average margin of victory of those 4 predicted match-ups to be at least 30 points...

No home game for the Empire 8 champion, having them go to Case Western Reserve, whom lost to Rochester.

fisheralum91

That caught my eye as well.
Oh well.
Nothing to do about it.
Fisher will enjoy a home ECAC game, learn from the experience and come back next year with a very full compliment of starters.

Absolutely,  they will need to replace Schmidt and Francis at WR and Balcerzak at tackle.  The rest of the offense is intact.  Another year to work with Kramer at QB could expand the present offense,  I don't know if I would start from scratch with a different QB next year.  Miller is a solid RB and the 2 freshman that got carries look good.

Defense is another story.  They lose Moore, Sawyer and Vosburgh who are probably the top 3 defenders on the team.  Burdick and Schier are gone at DB as well as Benderski at NG. I have counted between the 1s and 2s  Fisher graduates 11 of the 22 players on the depth chart.  That represents alot of experience on the defensive side of the ball.  Coach Fox and his staff will have thier work cut out for them.  They do have some very athletic and physical players on the JV defense that are ready to taste some Varsity action.

First let's get one more W this season in a ECAC Bowl game!!

fisheralum91

I agree, but one of the good things about the D is that I saw a lot of young guys step up, and when the injury bug hit- I was very pleased with what i saw!!
Next year should be nice!
On to the ECAC s first tho

I would like to see Kramer go to a RB/WR role and bring in their QB that was injured.  The lack of a passing game cost them dearly in their 2 losses and it allowed other teams to stay in a game early.  Hobart got out early & they had no chance to get back in the game w/ no quick strike passing game.  Also in Salisbury they weren't able to get them out of their offense early & they were able to keep the SJF defense guessing all game instead of making Salisbury throw it.  I'd Put Kramer in the slot then run your bubble screens like they did w/ Ferenbach, run some reverses & send him down the seam.  The offense I'm not really worried about next year as they bring most of the line back & some good specialist.

Like you said Defense is going to be the big question mark.  It will be interesting to see if they get the Senior LBer Levall back as he only played one game this year, it would lessen the blow of Moore's departure. Sant, Dolan, Tones, Judd & Belluco come back so adding Levall to that would be a good core to build off of.
