That caught my eye as well.
Oh well.
Nothing to do about it.
Fisher will enjoy a home ECAC game, learn from the experience and come back next year with a very full compliment of starters.

Absolutely,  they will need to replace Schmidt and Francis at WR and Balcerzak at tackle.  The rest of the offense is intact.  Another year to work with Kramer at QB could expand the present offense,  I don't know if I would start from scratch with a different QB next year.  Miller is a solid RB and the 2 freshman that got carries look good.

Defense is another story.  They lose Moore, Sawyer and Vosburgh who are probably the top 3 defenders on the team.  Burdick and Schier are gone at DB as well as Benderski at NG. I have counted between the 1s and 2s  Fisher graduates 11 of the 22 players on the depth chart.  That represents alot of experience on the defensive side of the ball.  Coach Fox and his staff will have thier work cut out for them.  They do have some very athletic and physical players on the JV defense that are ready to taste some Varsity action.

First let's get one more W this season in a ECAC Bowl game!!

I would like to see Kramer go to a RB/WR role and bring in their QB that was injured.  The lack of a passing game cost them dearly in their 2 losses and it allowed other teams to stay in a game early.  Hobart got out early & they had no chance to get back in the game w/ no quick strike passing game.  Also in Salisbury they weren't able to get them out of their offense early & they were able to keep the SJF defense guessing all game instead of making Salisbury throw it.  I'd Put Kramer in the slot then run your bubble screens like they did w/ Ferenbach, run some reverses & send him down the seam.  The offense I'm not really worried about next year as they bring most of the line back & some good specialist.

Like you said Defense is going to be the big question mark.  It will be interesting to see if they get the Senior LBer Levall back as he only played one game this year, it would lessen the blow of Moore's departure. Sant, Dolan, Tones, Judd & Belluco come back so adding Levall to that would be a good core to build off of.

I definately understand what your point is but the QB that was injured has never taken a Varsity snap could slow offensive production early just like with Kramer this year.  Kramer on the outside or  does make sense with the loss of both Francis and Schmidt.  Time will tell.

I am not positive but rumor has it that Leavell will be back for one more season, he did not participate in Senior day activities.

No home game for the Empire 8 champion, having them go to Case Western Reserve, whom lost to Rochester.

Where do you see this?  The bracket projection I saw would have Salisbury at home vs. The sixth seed.

Not sure why Salisbury people keep thinking that. The higher seed hosts in our projected bracket.

Pat,

I think it was how the bracket was made. It was the appearance of it.

Gotta read better, I guess. That's pretty standard, higher seeds on the outside and lower seeds on the inside.

Congrats to both St. John Fisher and Salisbury for making the playoffs...So excited.

saxontad

Congrats to Fisher, but I have to admit I'm stunned!!  Good luck!!

boobyhasgameyo

Yeah Fisher!  That was unexpected.  If they are able to take down an undefeated Southern Region team in Johns Hopkins maybe that will go a little ways in the age old argument of the strength in the East.  I really like what happened the last time Fisher played a CC team in the playoffs.  Let's hope similar results will carry through this year!

i agree, time for the east to step up.  with all the shuffling of brackets the east will show whether or not they are the weak bracket each year.  i will talk about the match up with hopkins later this week.  i will say now that i think fisher has a chance, but will have to defend the pass well.

defending the pass is their strength....except the occasional big play.

WOW...I really did not think Fisher hada chance to get an at large bid, but I am so excited that they got in. I have started to like this Fisher team more and more as the season goes on. All I know about Hopkins is that they are undefeated and look pretty strong when I look at the scores, but does anyone else have more information?

Man I am excited. After the first few weeks, I did not pick this Fisher team to be the one that got back to the NCAA's

GO CARDS!!!
GO FISHER!!!
