Congrats to both St. John Fisher and Salisbury for making the playoffs...So excited.

Congrats to Salisbury as well. I have to be honest. In all of my excitement with Fisher getting in I didn't even check out who SU pulled. I have to go back and do my homework.
GO FISHER!!!

wesleydad

fisher folk, having seen both of you play this year i think it will be a good game.  i saw hopkins trounce gettysburg, but gettysburg may have been the worst defense i have seen since i started watching d3 football.  i saw your game against salisbury and am on record as liking what i saw despite the loss.  hopkins likes to pass or at least they did that day.  the following week they ran for like 300 yards.  i believe that they have a pretty strong defense too.  i thought they were the second best team i saw this year, but they have struggled the last 2 weeks against middle of the road conference teams.  i was going to drop them below both del val and salisbury into the group with kean and fisher, so in the end i think you can win.  avoid turnovers and take advantage of opportunities unlike the salisbury game.  if you win then you get to play a team that i think is better than you, del val.  i have been known to be wrong.  good luck.

I wonder if Charles is still around or had his head explode from the inclusion of Fisher and not Endicott ::)

He's getting ready to write his post about how awesome Endicott is after they blow out Mt Ida....

Just not sure why the committee did what they did, obviously they didn't follow their own selection criteria. Makes no sense SJF gave up 56 to Hobart. I heard that Endicott requested games with either Cortland or Alfred and they both ducked. So they get to play Mt. Ida for their final home game. Hope it's a nice day at least.

The NCAA sent a clear message, schedule some fricking teams for once NEFC...

The rest of your post is much like you're out of conference schedule, GARBAGE. NO ONE from the East outside of the ECFC is ducking anyone from the NEFC especially considering it totally goes against what Frank, who seems to be well connected to people in the know, has said about the NEFC about ducking E8/LL/NJAC/MAC teams...

Congrats on getting Mt Ida, I'm sure you'll prove a lot...

I confirmed that this is absolutely untrue.  Endicott was the #1 seed, and Mt. Ida was the #6 seed.  They were matched up accordingly.  Charles, enough with the lying.

Maybe he meant the regular season.

Context is not there.  He's focused on the postseason in that entire post.

Regarding the change in the ECAC matchup procedures, which started a few years back, I can confirm that's the case -- the New England teams wanted to play amongst themselves and not with the New York teams.

I feel very good about my source on this.

Is it possible it's just because of distance considerations?  It's an extra game...do you really want to go travelling for hours on end?  I don't know, that's why I'm asking the question...

True but I found it funny that a school would ask another school about playing an ECAC game.  I always got the impression that the teams apply to the ECAC, and the ECAC seeds them where they want them.

The NE teams were taking a pounding in the ECACs in the early 2000's, they probably didn't want to travel to get their heads kicked in...

Didn't Fisher travel up to Maine a few years back to win an ECAC game?  What would distance have to do with anything?...

In other news... I'm rounding up some people here in the DC area and gearing them up in Fisher apparel for the trip to Johns Hopkins on Saterday.  Looking forward to getting there and finding the Kramer's to tailgate!  Anyone else going and can give me some insider info on where to go?  I'm thinking about getting to JH by 10ish.

First time this season I'll be able to watch them so I'm very excited!

Travel Costs... The NCAA is not paying the bill on these ECAC trips unless I'm wrong.  I'm just saying it's a possibility.  Just because Fisher went so and so doesn't mean that the New England Teams want to travel in the other direction.
