Upstate

Congrats to the Seniors and coaches on a hell of a run...

To do what you did all year with the massive amount of injuries to this team was incredible...

Cant wait to see this team next year with 4/5ths of the o-line back, Miller, Kramer on the field at the same time and Fenti at QB...
The views expressed in the above post do not represent the views of St. John Fisher College, their athletic department, their coaching staff or their players. I am an over zealous antagonist that does not have any current connection to the institution I attended.

A great run for Fisher comes to an end. The Fisher community should be proud of this team and the run that they made. Not many people thought that Fisher would even be in the running for the NCAA's after the Hobart game. Fisher just got better week in and week out, and did a great job.

Very happy to be a Fisher fan today.
GO FISHER!!!

pride- as musch as i dont want to- go UWW
that crap at the end of the game showed me a lot about ST T
no class
GO UWW!

I have to agree with you 91, I usually like to root for team that beats you but UST makes it real hard to do.

skunks_sidekick

Congrats to SJF on an improbable, but exciting run.  Things look good for next year, and I would expect them to be the favorite in the E-8.

fisheralum91

thanks skunks
things are rolling for you !
good luck- tho you dont need it

SU Backer

I missed SU's very first offensive posession, but watched the rest of the game and did not see #12 Ross Flanigan play for Salisbury. He shows in the participation report as playing, but no carries etc. Not that I feel SU wins with Flanigan, but he is one of, if not their best, offensive weapons. He was missed and it was very apparent in SU's inability to get outside that his speed was lacking in the offense. He is only a junior so I am looking forward to seeing Ross back next year. Pat? SUADC? Anyone know the story with Flanigan today?
thanks....and skunks_ -SU may have a little something to say about who the favorite is next year in the E8  ;)
Go Gulls!

But in fairness, note none of the obnoxious posts were by Tommie supporters (except for postseason, conference or region, support).

And, no, I am not a Tommie supporter! ;)

fisheralum91

Ypsi,
you cant say that.
there have been a few st t fans that have been nuts,
but as a whole you are right- they aren that bad- the bunch as a whole however...yikes

dlippiel

Dlip is very proud of the run SJF went on this year. It would have been easy to pack it in after the loss to Hobart. They didnt and as a result they made a great run and served as a great representative of the east (alomg with an excellent Salisbury team). Dlip gained a ton of respect for the cardinals and their fans. Dlip felt as if he was rooting for his beloved Dutchmen today with the intensity and emotion he had as he watched the game. Again, every Cardinal should have their heads held high with pride.

Congratulations to SJF and SU on great seasons.  I have no doubt we will be hearing from both teams next season.  It was fun to see SU play today.  UW-W doesn't often get a chance to play against either the option or teams from the East.  I hope all who made the venture or watched online enjoyed the game and all the Gulls came out healthy. Have a great off season and I hope you all keep posting on the boards.

I wonder if you noticed that on one of the boards (sorry, don't remember which, maybe Wesley's home board?), someone posted that Wesley will now meet Union?!  I chose NOT to enter the fray and point out that there is already a Union, and Mount Union might be clearer, but thought you might get a chuckle out of the post. ;D

wesleydad

nice season for both Fisher and Salisbury.  2 teams in the final 8 is better than anyone else did.  expect to see both teams next year and may even make a trip to Fisher for a game if I can add it to my travel agenda.

fisheralum91

Wesleydad- Ill buy you a beer when you do!
Good luck to you and yours

wesleydad

thanks fisheralum91.  I really enjoyed chatting with you guys during the season and wish all of you a great holiday.  Cheer for Wesley, the last "east team" left.  they have a shot, especially if the Mount QB's are as beat up as it sounds.  They went toe to toe with them 2 years ago until some guy named Shorts decided that he was taking the game over.  They have no one like him now, so who knows.
