I am kind of conflicted (although me watching won't change ratings... isn't that a Nielson thing?)... I agree that helping it get better ratings will help ESPN's perceptions, but if it's only D3 people watching it still doesn't help much.  I still think my lack of interest will keep me from watching.  However, I may tune in occasionally for a score update.

Upstate is very thrilled with the latest SJF news, I have high expectations for next year with the latest development...

A news release will be posted sometime soon from SJF and Upstate couldn't be happier...

Which is saying something considering I'm a miserable bastard...

I like the schedule. I love the opener under the lights. I can not wait for that one.
GO FISHER!!!

Also, three Fisher football players were named All American. Troy Sant, Cory Balcerzak, and Dave Vosburg. Congrats to all three.
GO FISHER!!!

Not only is the matchup boring, but it appears the game isn't all that interesting either!

Well now it's pretty interesting in the rain! (Yes, I got sucked into tuning in due to a lackluster Friday night)

I was out in Fisher-land with Mrs. Kaz and a couple who live in the Pittsford-Mendon district to celebrate the birthdays both our wives had this week with Pep giving me text updates.  Upon settling back in at their place, I flipped on the game and sucked in their two boys who immediately began rooting for Whitewater since Green Bay is their favorite team.  I guess the purple powers were waiting for me to tune in before making it interesting.
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

Congrats to Fisher getting ranked 11th in the final D3Football.com poll.
Great season.
Here is hoping that next year is even better!!

SUADC

Congrats to Salisbury for finishing the season ranked in the Top 10 (Should be 8th :-X) of D3Football.com final poll. Also, congrats to St. John Fisher in their ranking as well. Good Luck next season to both teams.

I'm looking forward to next year as the year Ithaca fans will look back on 2011 with fondness and nostalgia...

Hopefully this past year was a wake up call for the Coaches that they can't continue to do the same things they've been doing.  They have to change it up.  I honestly don't think I've seen them do anything drastically different from year to year.  To me it looks like the same pro style offense each year, while continuity is great it's become clear that Ithaca isn't getting the guys to run the pro style effectively for a whole season.

If you keep on doing it, the rest of the Fisher fans and I won't mind...

It is prob. not their scheme that is the problem.  It may be the talent.  Their defense is clearly up to the task.  They lack speed on offense and specs.  I remember that jumping out at me in 2009 when i went to IC for  the IC-SJF game.   Their offense seemed pedestrian.

Now that MUC is successfully recruiting guys out of our area, it does not bode well for NY football.  We already have 10+ D3 schools grabbing at every top player that gives each team a shot at success, so the talent pool only gets smaller.

I think IC will continue to compete in the E8, and as we beat eachother up every year, they will get their share of late season opportunities to grab an AQ.

82, you gotta tell Vos & Scatch to get down to Florida & Texas to start recruiting!

What we need is to take a knee on a season by starting a young QB so that he can emerge over the following two or three years. Doesn't need to be a superstar like Felicetti, but we can't keep throwing mediocre juniors and seniors out there for the first time and thinking we can compete. I was hoping losing the winning season record might encourage this, but from what I'm hearing out of South Hill, next year ain't going to be a beacon of hope.
