Norwich over Fisher was the game I was trying to remember... it's the only one that really comes to my mind in most shocking.

Both Hartwick games were tough to swallow as well.
GO FISHER!!!

It was 2004, not 2005. But close enough.

Man, we should do these things every offseason! Getting some great debate started. Let's throw out some more:

Favorite game/moment that did not involve your team?

Specific team that underachieved the most? (I.E. the "What if team"?) Overachieved?

Most shocking upset in regular conference play?

Most unwatchable game (from a overall quality of play standpoint)

So much to like here...

Best game not involving Fisher. The SU/Keane game in th playoffs last year was pretty good. (although not much will ever beat the Hail Katherine game for me)

Underachieving team for me was the Fisher team from 2 years ago. So much talent and really seemed to run out of gas the last three weeks.

Upset...Norwich over Fisher in 2005.

Worst game...70-0 was brutal. Just not what AU typically gives you.

Definitely agree with AU being the worst game.

I think shocking at the time was Hartwick over Fisher. I know that with the talent on their offense, it was no surprise they could keep up with the best. But that was pretty shocking at the time. Although I dont think Norwich beating Fisher can be topped. There is always Curry wiping the floor with HC too. Everyone thought they were weak/overrated.

Oh, and the first regular season game where Mount Union beat Fisher was pretty shocking.  ;)

All 3 of those losses were to the best players to come through the E8 in Boltus and Garcon (who had like 200+yds and 4 TDs).  In hindsight it's not as bad as it looked then...

I always considered Hartwick at least a small level above Norwich at all times when they were in the E8. Makes it funny to think Norwich is near the top of their new conference.

I hope AU is really careful with the pair of powerhouses they have to open this season...

Hopefully they scale back their aggressive scheduling in the future so they don't hurt recruiting...

Oh absolutely, except for 2004. Norwich had a decent set of skill guys that year that could put up points to go along with Garcon.  Since then they went back to being bad.

Haha well played!!

But seriously, Ithaca, Fisher, Salisbury in a row... OUCH.

Curry did get beat down by 31 points the next week, so I'm pretty sure the prevailing thoughts about curry were pretty accurate...

Well you get the first two at home, AU is a tough place to play especially with that mile and a half walk from the field to the 8ft x 8ft visiting locker room...

Still, all the more "shocking" for beating a team that handled both Ithaca and Fisher in the same year...

Didnt Hartwick lose to some joke school that year too? (and im not talking about AU).

And yet somehow, that small locker room is much nicer than the home team locker room... Unless they did renovations. I remember talk of a field house when I was there... 4 years ago...

Nicest field/stadium was without a doubt Case Western.
