Ouch.....
Ebbs and flows....

My freshman soccer season at Fisher we went 1-18.....
That did not improve substantially the next 4 years.
Thank you Baldwin Wallace for being worse than the worst!

My four years of Soccer at Fisher we always had winning seasons, but our great tradition was finding a way to lose to one terrible team every year...Now they are just back to being totally bad again.
GO FISHER!!!

fisheralum91

We had 3 bench clearing brawls, including a game stopping one against Naz!
Now that was tradition!

Fisher has the roster up on their webpage for anyone looking for a list of who they have in camp:

http://athletics.sjfc.edu/roster.aspx?path=football&

Wouldn't it save space if Fisher just listed the dozen or so males enrolled that are NOT on the football team?

Possibly.

I was checking out these guys http://www.uofrathletics.com/roster.aspx?path=football&tab=football last night and had a similar thought.  Wouldn't it save space if UR just listed the guys that could actually play football?

Here, I'll help the UofR SID and make the list for him.

Yeah, that should do it.

Yeah, that should do it.

First, I think you are being generous.  Second, I think that list, from what I hear, should be of coaches at the UofR that can actually coach football.

I think coaches are sleeping on Buff St. a little bit. Wouldn't surprise me to see them ahead of Ithaca, and challenging Alfred.

Agreed. Boyes can flat out coach and the Buff State teams I have seen the last two years have been far better than the few years before his return. Even more scary is how much they jumped from year to year. I think they will be a lot better this season.

Agreed x's 2!!!

Coach Boyes is on a mission!! He's got these kids, and school, believing that they can beat anyone. Heck, their 3rd game is on the road at DEFENDING NAT. CHAMP Wisconsin - Whitewater! Don't know if that S.O.P in the Empire 8 but it's gonna become a standard in his football program. Trust me, he didnt charter a plane to Wisconsin to go fishing at Rice lake!!

Hopefully the home opener vs. Cortland will give the BENGAL faithful and idea of how far we've come since Jerry took over!

The Scavo no-show has to be pretty darn embarrassing for Welch and the coaching staff.  The program is not in very good shape these days.
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

Schools new to a conference often get the short end of the stick in the first couple of preseason polls. Even for Kickoff, I personally feel Buff State will finish higher than we predict them but I couldn't convince everyone.

Here's what weirder: According to people I've talked with, the baseball team wasn't even aware of Scavo. Had someone tell me: "We didn't even know about the kid until someone called us up and said, 'Hey this kid's pretty good at baseball." I heard part of why he chose IC was the baseball team, but had always been under the impression that he was either going to play both sports, or at least entertain the idea. To hear that he wasn't even on the baseball team's radar, and that he left anyway, I mean, that's a huge shocker.

IDK if I put this on Welch and the program though. The kid was seriously considering Alfred and Fisher, both of whom are in much better shape than IC. He chose to go to a school with a weaker football program, apparently because of the baseball team, and now he's leaving football. Seems to me the kid just decided he didn't want to play football at the college level. I don't know if that's something the coaches should have picked up on in recruiting or not. But sometimes it's just what happens.

It is however, a major blow to the team's future. This season certainly looks to be another disaster offensively. I hear Nuemann's got inside track at QB, but neither he nor Hendel were any good last year, so I doubt it matters. Those two will probably end up splitting time while we wait for the next guy to come in

As do most around here. The Bengals were a really tough out last year, I really thought Fisher wasn't going to win it last year with the way the Bengals drove down the field at the end of the game. The WR for Buff St got both hands on a pass in the endzone and should have come down with it to put them a head. I'm expecting another tough game with them this year.

And Bengals fan, some teams in the E8 have a long history of scheduling tough OOC games.  Others, not so much...
