Fisher/Thomas More is going to be very interesting. Dlip thinks this is going to be a very tough game for the Cardinals, one that dlip is surprised is not getting more or MORE :) attention. This game will tell us alot. Good luck Fisher, dlip is rooting for you big time!

Fisher has the roster up on their webpage for anyone looking for a list of who they have in camp:

http://athletics.sjfc.edu/roster.aspx?path=football&

Wouldn't it save space if Fisher just listed the dozen or so males enrolled that are NOT on the football team?

Possibly.

I was checking out these guys http://www.uofrathletics.com/roster.aspx?path=football&tab=football last night and had a similar thought.  Wouldn't it save space if UR just listed the guys that could actually play football?

Here, I'll help the UofR SID and make the list for him.

Ouch !!!

Yeah, that should do it.

Does anyone know what time Fisher practices on Friday? I am going to be in Rochester this weekend, and I will have some free time on Friday afternoon, and was hoping to make it to campus for practice.

I am also going to the scrimmage on Saturday, so if anyone else is going stop by and say hi.

Full practice will start at  9am Friday.

I'm guessing 11 players at a time.

Just got back from growney where fisher scrimmaged Alfred state.  First, Alfred state was awful. Fisher looked at times sluggish but showed a lot of promise. Defense looked bored but when they would wake up they easily dominated. They are big up front and just solid . Offensively their running game could be impressive . Kramer looks faster than ever breaking off huge runs all day while miller and two other backs who I was sure who they were . Receivers look steady but nothing special other than being possession receivers. The Francis kid flies scoring on a kick return and making big plays with his feet. Fishers special teams were iffy with a couple muff punt returns and field goals were up n down. Overall, fisher fans should be excited for the upcoming year

Just got back from Growney.  Really tough to gauge how good Fisher was since Alfred State's program has crapped the bed, they might have 50-60 kids tops and most of them are just horrible.  A couple things stood out.  Kramer looks really good, very quick and very trim.  In other words, nothing like his older brother!  O-line could be an issue, which is surprising since it's been something that's been a mainstay the past 10 years.  If the Defense stays healthy they're going to be the best defense Fisher has ever fielded.  I don't think extra points will be an issue but a FG over 30 yards is going to be an adventure all year.  Punting game looks to be an adventure as well.

I thought Fisher looked good at times yestErday, but agree it was hard to tell since Alfred State was really not on the same level talent wise. Fisher dominated but I think every team in the E8 would have.

Couple things I noticed:

1) the field goal unit looked really questionable when they were running the drills at each end. He was 2 for 2 in the quarter of live play that I watched, but I am not sure how I feel about the kickers.

2) the Defense looked big and fast, and I was impressed with how easy it was for them to make plays against Alfred State (in the 2 minute drill possessions Fisher had a forced fumble, and two picks, one returned for a touchdown, on Alfred State's three possessions.

3) Kramer did look good, and impressed me throwing the ball as well. I still don't like the deep ball he throws and think better defenses would have made him pay for a few of those. I did like what I saw from Tyler Fenti, but there is little doubt Kramer is the guy for Fisher.

4) there was a big tight end for Fisher (#18) who looked good. Big and fast. Not sure who he was but if they can get him the ball he should be a weapon.

5) Miller looked really big, and was running very well.

Overall I thought Fisher looked good. As the scrimmage went on, I think they got a little bored, but I think they were solid. The biggest concern I had was special teams and especially field goals.
GO FISHER!!!

fisheralum91

While I am happy that the scrimmage against Alfred State went well, I am really concerned about special teams.
Nothing infuriates coaches more than losing field position -but quite possibly a game.  This needs to be shored up before the season begins.  As most Fisher faithful have seen in the past, field goals and punting have been an off and on thing.
