Cmon guys,
Its Friday before gameday.
Where is the chatter?

I can only speak for myself. Really, it's kind of a cruddy opener for Ithaca. Coming off the worst year in school history, mass defections a quarterback is the main offseason story line, on the road, against some team that there's no history with, and who was also pretty bad last year.

In two weeks, they'll be more excitement. Union's always a fun game, and they'll be solid this year, and it's at Butterfield, and maybe they'll be a glimmer of hope that the team will not be quite so bad. But right now, I'm more interested in Michigan State's game

The Ithaca website usually has a nice writeup before each football game.  I don't see any for this game?

I'll tell you what.  Ithaca should be doing a lot more with that football page.  Show some photos of a full stadium.  Make a small documentary on the Cortaca game (a good one).  Show guys lifting with some Metallica playing in the background.  Show a hitting drill in practice with some coaches and guys screaming at each other.

So what you're saying is that they should continue to live in the past and hope it helps with recruiting?

Are you sure you guys want to beat Fisher sometime this decade? Doesn't sound like it!

Gosh, did Pep miss something? Are Fisher and Ithaca playing each other this week?

Pep is looking forward to an AU intra-squad scrimmage tonight on Merrill Field with all the Saxons who did not make the trip to Susquehanna last Saterday. Then, tomorrow it's BAND CAMP! Hoping to welcome some new instrumentalists to the band. This season, it will be a "Band On the Run" as we attempt to follow our Saxons wherever they may go....six games on the road.

Get the fight song ready!

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Yup, clearly it's caused Ithaca to play to the level of their opponents as they've went from 7 to 6 to 4 wins the past 3 years...

I'm going to say that trend continues and they'll top out at 3 wins, only because the rest of the E8 is dragging them down of course...
