Im really pleased that the alma mater won today, but are there ANY doubters to the fact that Kramer is the only choice for QB?
Without Cody Miller single handedly putting the offense on his shoulders this game is a bad loss.
Fenti and Hass. looked lost and incapeable.  To my fellow Fisher posters that have been calling for the backups to replace Ryan- you got your wish and look what you got.

The passing game is averaging 150 yards per game (before the IC game) which is down from the 170 they averaged the year before. Let's not pretend that the passing game was lighting the world on fire. Kramer is the lesser of three evils right now in this system.

It's not good enough, regardless of who's in there.

That I will agree with you!
This team needs a more proficient passer.
Some of the passes I saw today were just shy of embarassing.
They were so off the mark, a few of the Fisher WRs were looking at each other trying to figure out where the balls were going!
That all said--I wont skip a chance to say congrats to the alma mater for beating IC 7 years in a row!

Back from the Fisher / Ithaca game and happy Fisher was able to get the win today. Not a great performance by the offense but they moved the ball when they needed to. Miller was a horse all game. What a night for him. I feel for Ithaca, and was very happy to hear Coach Welch came through surgery well. Wishing him the best.
GO FISHER!!!

Back in Mayberry after the 8 hour drive from Salisbury, MD. Pep is proud of his Saxons, who never gave up. That first half fumble picked up and returned for a TD was, in Pep's opinion, the difference. Good to meet WesleyDad, a keen observer of D3 football. Was a loud and responsive little Alfred crowd who turned into a vocal band when Pep led the "Give me an A" cheer. SU had a nice Family Weekend crowd.

Pep was also pleased to meet some of the SU Pep Band (a nice group!), but somewhat puzzled by the SU press box blasting canned music (yuck!) into the stadium during every timeout, thus silencing the band at their most opportune times to play. As a result, the only time the SU pep band played was when Alfred had the ball(?), which was, at least in Mayberry, taboo. It may not have bothered the Saxons but it bothered (hypersensitive) Pep, only because Pep recalls being told years ago by an official before a game at Merrill Field that should the AU Pep Band play when the opposing QB was calling signals, the Saxons would be penalized 5 yards.

All in all, a good trip for Pep and his pops. Pep loves Sheetz!

Check out the hit on Neumann by Leavell at the 20 second mark.

Picture perfect hit.

Also check out the sick grab by Ingrao at the 1:20 mark.

Pulls it in with one hand and somehow traps it against the back of his leg.

On Saxon Warriors!

Had a feeling it would be a close loss for the Saxons. Eerily similar to the 05 team. Lose the first game of the season against OOC but East opponent, lose against E8 champs in conference in a close game, but still win out. Dominant defense, shaky but efficient pass game, great run game with multiple options...

I just hope this time, AU doesnt get snubbed for the playoffs if they win out. Obviously a lot of football left but like I said, mirrors a lot of the 05 team. Will be interesting how much that RPI loss means down the road.

AU dropped out of the top 25.  I don't believe this crap.

wesleydad

saxontad, i am ok with alfred dropping out of the top 25, but have an are you kidding me with fisher moving back in.  both teams have 2 loses and alfred beat fisher, if fisher is in then alfred should be.  sometimes cant figure some voters out.

Fisher never dropped out...

They were 24 last week and are 24 this week...

dlip thinks the Saxons should still be in there, maybe the Profs as well, but ya know...

wesleydad

sorry upstate and other fisher fans, my bad.  still think that alfred should be in if fisher is in.

i agree dlip, rowan drops quickly, but cortland did move in so that makes sense.  the back end of the top 25 starts to become a what have you done lately at this time of the year.

Agree...

When you get to the bottom 5 of the top 25 it's always fluid but AU proved they were the better club last week by physically dominating the Cardinals on both sides of the ball...

the other interesting thing to me was how the points moved around with the uww loss.  wesley moved up a spot but did not gain any points.  several other teams also had totals that dropped.  some pollsters must have readjusted the polls.  i was not surprized that oshkosh jumped to 6, would not have griped had they jumped wesley.  i think there is a gap between the top 6 and the others at this point.  i am not sure if salisbury should be 7th as i think several of the other teams behind them may be better.  the next couple of weeks will be interesting to see if there is any other movement if all the top teams keep winning.

I was thinking the same thing.  The relative placement of Salisbury-Alfred-Fisher in the Top 25 is peculiar.  I feel like the East has 7 or 8 legitimate Top 25 teams, but none that can hang with the national contenders.
