Opinions please....if I'm going to be in Silver Spring, MD, on  Saturday the 27th, what would be my best game to see within an hour and a half?
Someday I'll research why two MD teams are un the Empire 8.

After making the trip from centrally isolated Mayberry, NY to the Eastern Shore to watch Pep's Saxons toss it around with a bunch of Sea Gulls, Pep is wondering the same thing....but thinks it's all about the AQ.  ;)

Yes. They have had trouble finding a league that they fit in well and no longer want to be relegated to Pool B status and taking that chance. For Salisbury, it's been great with the AQ.

I drove by Salisbury just to see the campus when I was nearby once. If that rain doesn't hit too hard ....

No more Pool B for us either. Win the conference and dance.

If Fisher finishes 8-2 will they have any chance at an at-large bid?  I'm sure hoping so.

Check out the pool C thread in the General Football section...

Wally does a great job of keeping track of all of the 1 and 2 loss teams...

There needs to be a lot of things that break right for ANY two loss team to get in...
The views expressed in the above post do not represent the views of St. John Fisher College, their athletic department, their coaching staff or their players. I am an over zealous antagonist that does not have any current connection to the institution I attended.

Pep is thinking W&L at Catholic would be your safest bet for a decent game within a decent distance within the Beltway.

Question for my sjfisher friends. I'm looking for a pizza..wings..sub place that delivers to sj fisher on sat afternoon (this sat to be exact). Looking to feed about 20 folks near 4:30. The plan is to spend around $150.00.

Would like a place that may offer a discount. Also will have tax exempt forms. Not having a bunch of luck reaching anyone at Fisher after 5 to answer this question.

Feel free to p.m. me also!

Try Guys Pizza right around the corner from Campus-

They have provided pizza for all the SJF players after the courage bowl this year at the Booster Club tailgate without a problem and they have even delivered to the pregame parking lot tailgates for a couple games for us parents.

I have only had their sheet pizzas but I think they are pretty good.

To be honest, I dont think they will. I think AU has a shot after the Fisher win because their conference record is still better than Fishers. I dont think we will see another year where 3 E8 teams get in like 07. I think it was 07.

Fisher would have been better off losing one of their first two games and beating AU (obviously if they had a choice haha). But finishing 3 in the conference will make it tough to be put in the playoffs. But it has been a funny year of football so who knows?

Either way, Fisher needs to dominate their remaining E8 opponents. However, I am fearing Fisher seems to be unraveling a little as the season goes on.

As much as I'd like this scenario, I don't think it's the case because of Alfred's 9 game schedule.  With that said, perhaps RPI would sneak in front of Fisher for Regional Ranking and be the first 2-loss team on the board from the East.

It's an ECAC kind of year for Fisher.  At this point I'd like for them to continue trying to cultivate other QB's, finish strong so they will remain relevant heading into next year, do some damage then.

Having only nine games is not an issue, other than it costs Alfred a chance to pick up a win against a regionally ranked opponent, a key head-to-head result or a game against a common opponent of someone they might be going up against for an at-large bid.

If all of the teams involved win out, there are at least two two-loss teams Alfred has a big advantage over:

1. St. John Fisher, based on the head-to-head result.
2. UW-Whitewater, based on the common opponent of Buffalo State.

In the case of AU and SJF doesnt the h2h win by the Saxons and their current in region records hold them higher than SJF?

AUPepBand.... since PC paid to get out to LINFIELD once upon a time, I figure I shall return the honor by taking the Metro to see Catholic University play.
Thanks all.

Indeed, that is what I said.

The only reason I responded is to tell pg04 that, sadly, when I read your post, I read it like Michael Scott would have said it in The Office.
