Random question to kill some time:

Would you prefer your favorite team have a great offense and lousy defense or an elite defense but weak offense?

DEFENSE...no question.  You can"t see me but I'm waving a large "D" in one hand and a piece of fence in the other!

Keith is picking Otterbein to beat Fisher Saterday.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Ott's best player, All-American DE Pat Seesholtz, is hurt and might not even play.  Based on what I saw last year I wouldn't be too worried about their offense.  Definitely nothing spectacular on that side of the ball unless they have some new faces.  SJF certainly can't just show up and win, but I think they'll leave Westerville with a 'W' tomorrow and likely by a couple scores.

As soon as I saw the "Most likely Top 25 team to get upset" section I knew Keith would pick Fisher.  I just had a feeling and he proved me right.  Let's hope Fisher proves him wrong.

Utica up 22-6 at the half against Lewis and Clark  :D

I would like to make sure that Keith Mc...sees this Fisher score.....
Upset my ear.
Hey Kev----missed the boat on that pick huh?

boobyhasgameyo

In fairness to Keith it is the first game of the year.  Nobody knows how good or bad you will be.

My favorite stat so far with 1 minute to go in the 4th

Otterbein has 28 rush attempts for 7 yards.

.20 yards per carry.  Not too shabby.

boob I agree, but the jabs go back a few years....
glad to make his meal crow

Ehhh.  When I first saw that he picked against us again I wanted to say the same thing - that he constantly does that when it comes to Fisher.  But I definitely remember him giving Fisher props at different times as well.  So I think what it comes down to for me is I just hate when people have any negative predictions against the cardinals  :)

fisheralum91

boob - I get it...
just glad to win a good one on the road against a quality OOC team!

sjfcards

A good start today for Fisher and the rest of the E8. Fisher goes on the road and beats a quality OAC team by 4 touchdowns, Buff State travels and beats are top level NJAC team in Cortland, and Utica sends Lewis & Clark back to Oregon with a L. Ithaca won today as well. Now to see what Salisbury does?

For Fisher today I thought it was a little sloppy, but they were clearly the better team. Too many penalties, and some plays that looked really messy, but all in all a really good way to start the season. A challenge on the road, that will make them better in the weeks to come.

Except for that rediculous ejection it was about as good an outcome as I would have hoped for. Does Moore have to sit out the first half next week?
GO FISHER!!!

Upstate

Very efficient game for Fenti, 19/24 for 233yds and 2 TDs...

Nothing spectacular but he made some good reads on the zone option and made some nice plays with his feet...

Great defensive effort, if not for the QB breaking a big run on a 3rd down they would have had negative rushing yards...

Still pissed about that "targeting" call BS...
