Pep's Predictions for Week 10:

Salisbury 21, Ithaca 17 (Sea Gulls bounce back after a nightmarish road trip to nowhere)
Alfred 31, Utica 27 (Saxons come out a bit flat after last week's big win, but hold on to avenge last year's loss)
St. John Fisher 42, Buffalo State 38 (Cardinals and Bengals in a slugfest at Coyer Field)
Hartwick 28, Frostburg State 14 (Hawks snap skid, Bobcats have lost their bite)

taking the trip to see the salisbury/ithaca game today.  short 2 hour ride.  expecting to see a good game.  will have my wesley football sweatshirt on and be in the ithaca stands for the game.  maybe get to meet some ithaca posters.

Ha, that they do.  +k for instantly taking a jab though.  I like it.

I was actually going to say the only thing more surprising would be Jose and the men in hats.  I didn't realize maninorangehat would appear as well.  My lucky stars!  Ithaca should win the conference more often

Thoughts:

1. Special ****ing teams. Never has an E8 season swung so much because of special teams. And Ithaca once again shows the conference how it's done. You could argue IC won three games this year solely because of them. (Buff State, Fisher, this game). Flat out dominating every freaking week

2. If you're a triple option team, how are you not going for two every time? Shouldn't short-yardage be your bread and butter? Especially after missing a short field goal?

3. Ithaca's defense was missing its best linebacker, Jake Santora, and held the Gulls to just over four yards a carry. Prior to the year, we heard a lot about Fisher and Salisbury's defense, but Ithaca's has been fantastic this season. Josh Duggan stepped in for him and finished with 10 tackles.

4. Suddenly, Salisbury's not the E8 terror they were in 2011. This is the 2nd straight year they've regressed. Good for the traditional teams.

5. Mike Welch has never done a better coaching job. Congrats to him and his staff.
