Yes, yes, yes...Way to go Fisher. What a great game by a tough team!
GO FISHER!!!

boobyhasgameyo

That was one of the finest efforts by Fisher that I have ever seen.  This team isn't the most talented team we've fielded but that was just a fantastic display.

Boob- Our Defense is one of the most talented Ive ever seen!
They shut down one of the best QBs if not THE best in the country.
Offense finally got rolling and this was a GREAT game for this program!
Off to Geneva !

On another note, It is particularly enjoyable to win a game that all the D3 guru's had Fisher losing convincingly.
That's why you don't play the game on paper boys!!!!

Oh- and to captain smite boy----who ever you are---

gee thanks for caring!

Great job by SJF today.  Fantastic defensive effort from what I watched.  I always like the Cards because I respect programs like Fisher that year in, year out have that "anyone, anywhere" mentality with scheduling.  It instills an expectation of success and a demand for toughness within the program.  Good program.  Good win.  Enjoy it!

Thanks Dr. Acula!  And as always...fantastic name.  If JD ever makes that into a movie - I am watching.

Thanks Doc!
It was a total team effort and Mike Fox in particular gets the game ball for dialing up the best D scheme he has come up with all year!

Congrats to SJF!! what a way to represent the ER!

JCUs speed was apparent early on, they were flying all over the place on both sides of the ball. However once the weather and field turned sour their speed advantage went by the wayside. Fishers size leaned on the smaller JCU defense and really moved the ball on the ground.

The SJF Defense dropped 8 most of the game and JCU struggled to complete passes downfield.

I really thought JCU was going to run away with it at the beginning but Fisher really took advantage with the weather turning and completely changed the game.
The views expressed in the above post do not represent the views of St. John Fisher College, their athletic department, their coaching staff or their players. I am an over zealous antagonist that does not have any current connection to the institution I attended.

One of the best parts is again vindicating the selection of a two loss team into the field.  I'm happy that Fisher did it in 2011 and I'm even happier now.  Obviously you can never really know - but if Thomas More traveled to John Carroll I question if the result would have been the same.

Also, the rest of the nation never stops yapping about how weak the east is just because we don't have that one dominant team...but clearly once you remove those elite few we are just as good, and often better, than the rest of the teams in the other regions.  This proves it yet again.  Beating John Carroll today, Washington & Jefferson and Otterbein handily earlier this year proved it.  Beating Washington & Jefferson and Thomas More last year proved it.  Beating an undefeated Johns Hopkins two years ago in the playoffs proved it.  Et cetera et cetera.

Upstate I agree that the weather change provided more of a benefit to Fisher, but that game was turning before the crap show of snow and rain in the 2nd half.  It was a quarter of defensive domination by JCU.  Our defense weathered the storm and we started to move the ball on offense more effectively mid way through the second quarter.

When you look at Hobart's schedule YTD - vs who SJF has played YTD -- not too much of a stretch to say the Cards may be heavy favorites heading into Geneva.

The E8 went 4-0 today (5-0 if you count Brockport who joins next year).  Not a bad day for the conference!
