Congrats to SJF on a great season. Your boys gave UMHB all it could handle today. The CRU is fortunate to be moving on.

A great season for Fisher and I thought they showed well for themselves today. UMHB is a very good football team, and Fisher had it down to an 8 point game with 7 minutes left despite Fisher throwing two picks, dropping an easy pick in the end zone, gave up a pick 2 on a two point conversion, had an extra point blocked, and two fumbles.

The team doesn't know how to quit.

And UMHB scores with a little over a minute left to push the game to 45-23.  It was an 8 point game with 6 minutes left in the quarter.  If ever there were a game where the final score wasn't indicative of the effort put forth between two teams I feel like this was it.

4 costly turnovers.  Dropped an interception in the endzone while it was only an 8 point game, etc.  Very proud of the effort against a very good team.  I wish the score reflected it more.

Fantastic game by the SJF D today, and the offense was definitely game.

Eye opener for UMHB going into the UWW game.  I was on the edge of my seat the entire game.

Good luck to the Cardinals next year.  You will be back.  (My impression is that SJF doesn't rebuild; they re-load.)

I really hope that UMHB goes on to win it all. The fans were a classy bunch, and more selfishly it will make me feel like Fisher is that close to a title.

that's not selfish, that's normal. It's been a lot of fun this week. love connecting with new to me fans. I'm a little tense about waiting for the AA to announce next weeks site, hopefully its in Belton where its supposed to be a balmy 50ish with no ick in the forecast. I can make that drive. Thanks for the fun this week SJF fans, don't be a stranger. You're always welcome on the ASC board

Thanks Toby and company.  It was indeed a fun week leading up to the game.  Good luck next week against UWW.

Purple powers keep advancing.  Fisher might want to throw a stripe of purple down their pants or something starting next season.

Great game from SJF!

A few things. One, your QB, Fenti, was a great player today. Threw for over 400 yards! Pretty amazing. It didn't feel like that watching the game. He has nice touch on the ball and ran it well too.

The run game was definitely the spot where the Cru had you. The inability to run let our D sit back and break up timely passes. True, the final score wasn't indicative of the whole game, but our D really stepped up when they had to which says a lot.

The D for SJF was great. A great test for our team. We'll definitely have to shore some things up in order to win next week. We weren't able to do anything up the middle for most of the game.

Our offense was really not great today. I know someone said they weren't impressed, which I wouldn't be either coming away from this game. But we've looked a lot better. That's a testament to your team D and our young QB. As good as he's been, he's only a Sophomore. Gallagher coming in at the end really gave us some stability. As a senior,  he's been in these games before, whether he's played or watched, so he knows how to run the offense and bring focus.

Overall, it was a great experience "meeting" new people on the boards. Perhaps we'll meet again sometime.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Congratulations to the Crusaders on the win and a big dose of respect to the Cardinals for performing so well on the road by getting within 8 in the fourth quarter against a great team. Fenti went wild in the air in the second half and the recievers for the Cardinals were terrific. The big OLine gave Fenti enough time to connect despite the run game shutdown and the Cru teeing off on passing downs. This was a tough Fisher team and you represented the East well today against the team many think will win the Stagg Bowl. Hope the Statesmen get another shot at you next year ;)

entertaining match-up, have a feeling of unfinished business though.  The gap was not as wide as some thought it would be.

Another Great Season with the run coming up a bit short --- I hope the Cards will be able to break through to join the elite in the coming seasons.

I think that the E8 and the ASC are roughly comparable, up and down the conference.

In a #1 vs #1, etc. I think that
UMHB beats Ithaca
LaCollege beats SJF  (LaCollege lost at UMHB by 11.)Alfred beats Miss College
Salisbury beats HSU who was way down this season.
Howard Payne is toss-up to Hartwick.
ETBU is a toss-up with Buff State.
Sul Ross State beats Utica and Frostburg.

You can't play score comparison, SJF would beat LA College and I would say Utica beats Sul Ross State
Just posting some last thoughts on the season...

LaCollege made it an 8 point game with 7 minutes left against UMHB this season.

I would have loved to have seen a SJF-LaCollege game.

Thanks to the SJF fans for the great game and fun week of chat.
