There goes all of that talk of Fisher getting a number 1 seed.
Aweful

It is always tough to watch a team with a gimmick offense like Salisbury, but then again, it has worked 6 times against Fisher.

And as much as I like to look through the world in Cardinal Colored glasses, this loss vs an under talented Salisbury team, is exhibit A for why Fisher just cannot be apart of a serious national conversation.  The elite teams do not have an annual, head scratching loss like this

Top teams put schemes in place to stop gimmicks - and in 6 matches, Fisher's D, more specifically the D-Cooridantors have not done that.

Phoned it in - in front of alumni crowd -- what a shame.

Horrible loss...

The defense had no idea what was going on for the majority of the game and the offense couldn't consistently move the ball...

Never thought they would go through the season undefeated anyway.  Would love to see how Fisher responds in the coming weeks.  I think this team will fare very well against teams that don't run gimmick offenses.

Oh and I hated how conservative the offensive play calling was today.  For as bad as our defense played at times, the lack of onions was also a factor.  4th and 1 coming out of the half?  Freaking go for it, it was a big point in the game.  Salisbury was extremely aggressive in their approach today and it kept working out for them.  4th and goal on the 4 in overtime?  Go for it!!  We couldn't stop them all day, suddenly a field goal will be the answer when they only have to go a quarter of the field?

As soon as I saw us lining up for the field goal I knew we would lose.  So I left.  Heard the PA announce that Salisbury won as I was getting to my car.  Shocker.

It is obvious Fisher just can not stop the option. So frustrating.
GO FISHER!!!

the lack of onions was also a factor. ...

agreed - outside of play by the WRs -  it was a monumental disappointingly outcome.

Utica will never be a legitimate E9 contender until it can beat teams like Ithaca and Fisher.

Given that Acevedo wasn't playing, that was a respectable effort. Two things killed them:

1) The punt block. Utica's defense was playing well, but the Bombers just get points from special teams every week it seems

2) When it was 21-10 and Utica had the ball, they got called for a block in the back that short-circuited a drive with promising potential

I do think Utica needs to get more physical on defense. Tristan Brown had several big runs where he just knocked and dragged guys. I think he's going to be a very good back, but he's also a true freshman. He was just too strong at times.

Great trick play call by IC up 21-10 but with the offense stalling. Got them about 30 yards and set up the game-icing score

Thats too bad- kid has talent.
Too bad that the offense is so focused on one player.....

I am more than surprised by the Fisher loss today.  I am borderline stunned that they gave up 37 pts including OT today.  Although Salisbury may run a gimmick O, after playing them for 6 years you would figure that Fisher would have a plan to stop it.  Salisbury is the same team that lost to Buff St last week.  No excuses, if you are to compete at the top of D3 you have to win games like this.

Losing to an option team has never been an indicator for how Fisher performs against everyone else.  Didn't in the past and it won't indicate how they will perform this year either.  The best team in the history of our program lost to the Springfield led triple option attack in the regular season.
