I love Fred Jackson for that!!! Lebron James gets a lot of heat (no pun intended) for a lot of reasons but he reached out personally and was sobbing when talking about her.

Eyes on the prize.
Focus on IC....get that done....Its all about the AQ.
No need for sweaty palms on selection day.
As for the AU game.......Throttle down....
You never lay up.
That is when you DO get hurt.
100  % all the time...

And that's why you're gonna lose to Montclair in the playoffs, they pound 110-60! #SamMillsStomp
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

First RR have been released - no real surprises.  Del Val, Hobart, and Widener are the top 3.  Fisher comes in at #4 and the highest ranked of the 1 loss teams.  Ithaca rounds out the top 10 and is the other E8 representative amongst the bunch.

Little surprised with Fram @ #5 and Montclair at #8. Montclair has a higher SOS and a win against a common opponent Fram. lost to. Should be interesting how it all shakes out especially with the Widener v. Del Val and Fisher v Ithaca auto bid games coming up.

A different kind of E8 Power Rankings

1. Nostalgia— Ithaca vs. St John Fisher for all the marbles? It feels like 2004/2005 all over again. The last three games have all been great, let's hope it continues.

2. Parity— I can honestly not tell the difference between Alfred, Buff State, Utica, Brockport, and Salisbury. They all have strengths, they all have weaknesses, and none of the teams is any more—or less—impressive overall than any other

3. One-Hit Wonders— Greg Bell had 331 yards against Morrisville. He's had 134 yards in the seven games since. That is easily the single strangest one-game performance in the E8 since Jason Hendel looked good against Union

4. A Two-Bid Conference— I think a two-loss Fisher's on the outside looking in. They're 4th in the rankings, and they'll almost assuredly be behind the Widener/Del Val loser, and could even fall behind the LL runner-up if St. Lawrence pulls off the upset

I agree with all of this. It seems strange that a Fisher/Ithaca game that is essentially the conference championship is upon us, and the boards as slow as they are. I think IC will play well, and Fisher will be in for a dog fight. I like the balance Fisher has on offense, and it will come down to scoring when they get the ball. Last year Fisher moved the ball well, but turned it over too many times. I will take Fisher in a tight game, maybe overtime.
GO FISHER!!!

Yeah, it's strange, but I think there's only two of us Ithaca guys, and I've honestly tried to tone down a lot of the back-and-forth sniping that I displayed in my younger days and tried to be more objective.

Which makes it hard to pump up a game like this because objectively, it's really hard to see Ithaca winning it. Think about the absurd combination of turnovers and kick returns that were required for Ithaca to win by three points at home last season.

You think this board is slow , the LL board is cricketsville with Union down this year ....but a nice defensive match up between Hobart and SLU for the LL title.  I think Fisher is the class of the E8 this year and should win by 7-10 especially if Fenti has a good day, but Ithaca always plays hard and it should give Western NY some great football this weekend . If Ithaca pulls off the upset, I agree that Fisher misses the playoffs. The pressure is on in front of the home crowd......

Ironically, the E8 has surpassed the LL in pages but what once was a lively, fun board is Dullsville. Pep never had so much fun on these boards as when a certain AU player got all exited about traveling up to Butterfield Stadium on Saterday to see how tough those Bomber boys really are. (Turned out they were tougher than the Saxons that day).

Pep recalls the prevailing topic at the time was whether Fisher had arrived and was a "rival" or was just having a random flash of success. Then year after year, the Cardinals got the best of the Bombers and one by one, the First Down Club, with its "men in orange/yellow hats" disappeared from the scene. Pep often wonders whether they once in a great while visit the boards just to see what they're missing, which ain't much.

Those were some lively days on the boards. I'd liked to have some of that energy back, but My blood pressure has dropped considerably. I appreciate that we keep it classy, but I still hate IC and I always will. Mrs. Cards dressing my kids in IC gear and rocking her IC alumni stuff doesn't help...
GO FISHER!!!
