and just like that -- Hobart comes on strong in Q4 to win over IC.

Not the best season for E8.

Congrats to the alma mater....
Even without some of the key players- they get the job done!

BENGALS finish 8-3 ( applause 😄)!! Many at 1300 Elmwood, and in buffalo ny, are very proud of the kids from Buff State. It's 1 of the few reasons that we've had to cheer this week after what we've been through. I can't wait to stop by Houston gym Monday and congratulate them for a season that may not have achieved thier ultimate goal, becoming NCAA champs, they still fought to the end. Gives many of us reason to be excited for next. Better yet, after multiple deaths from snow this week ( and anitger frozen body found in thier car, within the last 24 hrs)it puts sports, especially college sports, in its proper perspective .

I'm hoping that our basketball team goes to Hobart this Tuesday and gets a w. However I'm thankful that weds morning will (hopefully) still arrive win or lose.

Go BENGALS!

Ps good luck to all the E8 basketball teams. A successful region, east, needs the Sunyac, E8 and liberty to do well versus the 58 teams that they play from outside the east region, during non conference play!

Congrats to Buff State - E8 3-1 in bowl games, Utica and E8 Newcomer Morrisville in a high scoring affair, but UC fell in defeat.

and yes it was a tad ugly this past week weather wise in WNY.

I get what you're saying Tartan but they have won the automatic qualifier at least once in 2004...

So not every playoff birth was a pool c...

When? Hartwick won it in 2007 and Springfield in 2006 by virtue of their h2h victories, didn't they?

For SJF Program and Community:

Right and Wrong messaging.

Wrong Message: not too many teams are playing this week, be proud take advantage of it, and let's send the Seniors out on a winning note, great effort this season.

Right Message: we fell short of our ultimate goal in '14, 2015 starts today.

No more consolation prize in the ECAC - program should be beyond that by now.

St. John Fisher has won zero - count them: ZERO - outright E8 championships.

Every playoff berth has been a Pool C.

Stop acting like Fisher is this national power that is better than ECAC games.  Seriously.  One of the few things worse than obnoxious fans of elite programs is obnoxious fans that think their program is better than it actually is.

There are two national powers (Mt. and  UWW) and there are three more that are close (MHB, Wesly, and Linfield) and then there's an handful that are aspiring to be in the conversation.

No one is acting, one of the few things worse than obnoxious fans are those who try to put words in people's mouths.  There's a career path for you losers at places like media matters.

SJF has made the NCAAs 5 times in 10 seasons -- ECACs are beneath the program in my opinion, and every season should be striving for the NCAAs and when they don't make it, it is a disappointment.

the SJF program disagrees with your assessment of what is beneath them.  And playing in an ECAC game is not a sign the program isn't striving for the NCAAs.

No, what's worse is obnoxious fans like you who act like their vision is the one that the program needs to stand for. Seriously, you posted telling people it would be wrong for being proud of their team, and that they shouldn't look at today as a way to send seniors who had great careers—which included four NCAA victories—out on a positive note. Who the **** tells other people what they're supposed to feel for their own team? Did you have the guts to tell any player or coach that they shouldn't be proud of their effort today or this season?

In 2004.  They were awarded the pool A bid and beat Muhlenburg for their first ever NCAA tournament victory.

Also, I hope that either the upperclassmen have a productive offseason or we get a sweet freshman QB.  Passing game was uuuuugly for the last quarter of the season.  We have very talented running backs.  If we can have a truly dynamic QB to compliment them, then the offense will be special.  Easier said than done.

Oh to have Bailey back.

That's right. Sorry, I read that as since 2004. Apologies

If Tartan was speaking of me... I guess I was that obnoxious fan that had an opinion.
Im glad Fisher that had one extra game and had an ability to check out the younger guys.
I stand by the statement that ending up there is a disappointment.

Playing in an ECAC was a disappointment, but that doesn't mean the team can't enjoy the experience and make the most of it. Sure Fisher thought they should have made the tournament, but once they lost to IC the season had a new direction. 2015 started last week and it was nice to see some young guys step up and perform at live speed.
GO FISHER!!!
