Cortland D could keep them from potentially winning the league and a playoff game or 2. The offense and specials teams can move that ball! 5-0 and I'll take it! Ironically they could easily be 1-4.

Ithaca has real offensive issues. Four turnovers and eight sacks allowed. Shafer has really struggled for the last three weeks. But credit to Utica, who deserved the win, played to win, and earned it. The pioneers picked up a great win

Loved that punt down 30-0.

Fisher is just a delight to watch this year both offensively and defensively.  I hope some of the younger players start to develop and turn this season into an anomaly.  I just feel bad for Nigolian.  Came back as a graduate student and this is how his last year will end.  I actually think he is the best wide receiver we've had since I started following the team, and also the most underutilized.  It's a toss up between him, Farenbach and Francis.  Oh well.  Greater tragedies have occurred.

Great OT win by the Pioneers. The Empire 8 is crazy again this year. How long can Cortland keep winning with no defense? The Fisher crowd must be suicidal even after the exciting "Can anybody kick here?" win over Brockport last week . A very entertaining conference, for sure.

One win closer to ECAC eligibility (Brockport loves ECAC games by the way). Other than that, Brockport's game/win over Alfred St basically tells me nothing about Brockport or their upcoming chances in the E8 . For years we've known they can pound bad/poor teams..but come up short against the decent teams. Home game next week under the lights vs Utica would be another opportunity to move forward or tread water.

So Utica is sitting pretty...

Beat #19 Ithaca

Two close losses, one,  to Cortland, and the other a loss to ONU which just beat #11 ranked JCU.

Utica has been playing well. Finally got a signature win. Just glad it wasn't last week.

I go away for a weekend, and miss more E8 craziness!

Cortland's still living on the edge...and at 5-0, what a mighty nice edge it is. The Red Dragons aren't out of the woods yet (who is in the E8?) but they're doing all they need to do

Ithaca and Utica took turns dominating the game, and the Pioneers prevailed with a gutsy win.

Fisher's just totally lost the plot. The QB situation is bad, but where's the running game? The defense?

Buffalo State makes a statement without their starting QB

Alfred's offense continues to churn along. The Saxons and Red Dragons may combine for 120 in two weeks.

Morrisville's finding the sledding tough.

Hartwick hung tough, but they never seem to have the defense.

Brockport's bye week went well

Morrisville's finding the sledding tough. (well, on the road, anyway)

Hartwick hung tough, but they never seem to have the defense...but my, how they can air it out!

Brockport's bye week went well...59-7 isn't bad at all!

Looks like it'll be another quiet week on the boards? +K Bombers for the company!
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

It is rather interesting to see both sides of the ball struggling so mightily.  Usually you might see one unit have a down year but it has been such a startling drop-off from last year both offensively and defensively.  Definitely unexpected.  Even at QB...I thought Fenti was good (and a welcomed sight after the second coming of Kramer QB era) but I didn't think he was super special.  With the exception of the game against Mary Hardin Baylor...I was very proud of what he was able to accomplish on that day.  But I now realize that it was a matter of me being spoiled as a fan.  Fenti was money.

A down year really makes you appreciate the good ones.  No assurances Fisher returns to prior form since nothing is guaranteed, but if they do then it'll be even sweeter.  It's pretty painful to watch what's happening this year.

Booby not to be a downer but can you imagine being a Union fan? To see how far the Dutch have fallen? Dlip is not trying to take away from anything SJF fans are going through right now. He understands and you know Dlip always supports SJF. However just try and keep some perspective...Dlip would give a nut to be where you are at. 😀

It just occurred to Pep the other day that he misses the First Down Club. Heck, Pep might have traveled to Ithaca for the AU-IC game like days of old....

No arguments boob.
Cant take anything for granted.
I like to think im a little more level headed than the average Fisher fan - i witnessed the disasters of the late 80s early 90s so I know how the pains of being a doormat.
This season hopefully is anomaly.
That said watching is painful.....
