Good luck to both Cortland and Linfield today. Dlip is hoping for a Cortland win (doesn't think it will happen though  :-[) and an injury free game for both squads.

D O.C.

QuoteWhen Linfield has traveled to new places they schedule interesting
diversions and "Field Trips" for the guys.

Yeah, when they played Case Western back there they went to see Mount Union play a later game.

Hope the Cortland Players/Staff/Families/Fans have enjoyed Oregon. With the serious business starting, my prediction is something like 55-31 Linfield. I think Cortland can score but in the end won't keep up. It may be something like 31-17 at halftime.

I like that wish!!! ;)

pg04

Linfield fumbles on their first drive, and Cortland takes over around their own 30. Good start though!

pg04

Linfield's offense has been very shaky. A couple high snaps, one ending back on their own 1. The turnover. BUT their defense isn't allowing Cortland to do anything at all. Still 0-0 mid 1st.

The high snaps have been an issue all season...not sure what the deal with that is.....
Go Cats!

pg04

Cortland makes a mistake you can't make against a good team, and fumbles deep in their own territory. Linfield immediately takes advantage and it's 7-0 Cats with 4:51 left in the 1st.

Weird. You'd think they'd get it under control as the season goes. They need to practice that over and over and over.

agreed---all I can say is that the guy is a converted guard after we lost I think 2 Center before the season started....but yeah---you'd think he'd figure it out by now.
Go Cats!

I just turned the game on about 2 minutes ago and saw that  the score was 0-0 with 5:30 to go. I was surprised that Cortland had held them off the scoreboard for that long. Then the fumble occurred after a decent gain on the play. And of course Linfield scores on the next play. I'm not gonna watch for a while. maybe good things will happen.

pg04

Good things do happen! On 3rd and 21 Cortland throws a long TD and we are tied at 7.

pg04

Through the 1st quarter 7-7 Linfield and Cortland. It's only one quarter but it's got to be confidence building for the Red Dragons after traveling so far.

pg04

After a pretty poor punt, Linfield able to drive 45 yards quickly for a TD, 14-7 Cats in the 2nd.

pg04

Other than the one long play, Linfield's defense is swarming. Not much getting past them.
