Yeah but he said earlier in the week after his Del Val pick backfired they have to pick someone and it's not the easiest thing to do.  Kind of have to go out on a limb.  I'd imagine that he wouldn't bet against Fisher winning but if he had to choose one it would be them.

Or maybe not.  Maybe he feels like Brockport should be favored.  Any given Saterday, right?

Boom.  Doubling down on the Gatto.  It's going to be a good day.

Hell- any Saterday that I get to watch 2 d3 games from the comfort of my home i consider it a HUGE win!

Yeah, the E8 double header on TWC is awesome. However, I can't pass up the atmosphere of being at the game. I hear the crowd is supposed to be big again, and all for a great cause, so I will be headed to Brockport this Saterday!
GO FISHER!!!

Some highlights on Wildcat11's blog this week for the E8

QuoteThe winner of this game stays in or breaks into the top 25:

#23 Cortland (2-1) over Utica (3-0) (at Cort):  These two played a pretty tight ball game last season but I just like Cortland to bully past Utica after a letdown performance against St. John Fisher last weekend.

(509)Rat Says Cortland:  Speaking of slow starts...I think Cortland is the better team here and will learn from the hole they dug themselves into last week. Utica has a good win this season against Ohio Northern. But remember Ohio Northern is one of those "ranked because they are in the same conference as Mt Union even though they aren't nearly as good" type of teams. Here's to hoping Cortland, much like the Dallas Cowboys, play better on the road than at home.

So Fisher avoids laying their annual egg by coming back from 28-7 to win it 42-38.

The defense was on the field for 40 minutes, they were gassed but only allowed 10 points in the 2nd half which was a huge improvement.

Fisher had no business winning this game.

They have a talented Buff State team coming in next week, they can not over look them. They took it to Fisher like 30-7 last year. Stewart and Jones are deadly.

Get through this run of state schools unbeaten and it would be a great start to the season at 5-0.

Eh, they had just as much business winning it as Brockport.  Brockport played a great first half and Fisher obviously played an even better second half.  There weren't any real fluke plays by either side.  It really was a tale of two halves.

The E8 is no joke.

A handful of East Teams still have high expectations heading into week 5.  Based on 2016 performance I would rank AU, Utica then Fisher.

St. Lawrence and Hobart both unbeaten

Fisher's Offense best since '06  //   Fisher's D worst since they made leather helmets a thing - Fisher will go as far as the O will take them.   I hope the D can find some nuts.

How does Fisher come back and win this game.  They had no offense in the first half.  Wow.

Or they were 62nd in total defense out of 234 teams (through September 23rd) .  But keep beating that drum.  It gives you such credibility.

Brockport couldn't get the run going in the 2nd and got pass happy.

Also Fisher started pushing the ball down field and had two big plays. One came on a nice play where they leaked a TE to the back side of a bunch formation (50 yd td) and the other was a double move by coon (70 yd td).

Their offense was on fire.

82 cardinals

Very simple if you stop 80% of a teams offense  (Andrews) you have a chance to win.

Back from the Courage Bowl, with just a few quick thoughts...

1. This Fisher/Brockport version of the Courage Bowl could work. What an amazing game!
2. The Fisher offense is really good. They had a couple drives that were only stopped by dropped passes, and they really did well moving the ball without one of their biggest weapons in Fusco.
3. Not sure how Brockport played tight with Hartwick or struggled to put away ASU. They were good.
4. The Fisher D does need to work on the run defense, but al l together I don't think it was the worst performance ever. Dan Andrews is a stud, and a lot if yards were on broken plays or Andrews making space where there wasn't
5. 2nd courage bowl I have been to at Brockport and they do a fantastic job.  Very big crowd, great atmosphere,  and an unbelievable finish. I happened to glance over at the sideline when Fisher scored the go ahead touchdown and the honorary coaches were going nuts, just like the players. The atmosphere and facility helped it be as great as it was.

Awesome game
GO FISHER!!!
