Buffalo State @ SUNY Cortland
-Cortland has actually lost like 4 in a row to Buffalo St. Was actually shocked to see that. I think that Cortland's offense doesn't come close to the same production as it did last week vs Team Boltus. Seriously that Hartwick defense might be THE worst in Division III and that's saying something as there are programs that are starting out or transitioning from a JUCO level that are better than Hartwick. Walker starts to get into a groove and makes some plays downfield to Mannix and Smith but it's not enough. I think Buff St. pushes it to 5 in a row as Stewart, Hoppy and Johnson put up big numbers.

31-21 Buffalo St.

Team Boltus (air edition) @ Ithaca
-The ultimate test for the stout Ithaca defense. Does it have what it takes to shut down the best 1-2 WR punch in the E8. Koree Reed has been averaging 31 yard a catch. THIRTY ONE YARDS A CATCH! That is pretty insane at any level of football. If Ithaca can slow them down they have a shot at stopping Team Boltus, they'll need a hell of a game from their front and LBers to get pressure early and often vs Pine. If he has time he's going to get the ball downfield for big plays. I'm rooting for Ithaca here but I don't think they can consistently move the ball to keep up.

34-27 Team Boltus Air

Team Boltus (ground edition) (NY) @ Utica
-Utica fell hard last week, maybe it ends up being one of those "good" losses where it rallies the team to be more consistent or maybe it was one of those losses that completely unhinges the team, time will tell. I really would have loved to seen them undefeated going into the Fisher game next week. This will be a big test for Fox and his defense, they have to start to turn it around someday right? They have a ton of athletes, how are they getting burnt so bad week in and week out? I think they get on track this week and make a statement defensively vs a possibly flat Utica team.

37-17 Team Boltus Ground

Morrisville State @ St. John Fisher
-They may be 0-4 but Mo'ville's opponents are like 16-4 or 16-3, something insane like that. I don't think that it means that they're good and have just been caught in a rough patch of the schedule but it does mean that they've faced some good teams. I watched a lot of the Buffalo St game and they looked bad, just plain old bad. They couldn't stop BSC and they couldn't block anyone. Fisher could be without Naton again (two deep this week says he's starting) but they're definitely without Fusco and Chambers this week. Their current RBs are 6'2", 235 and 6'2", 225. It's funny but they're the same size as Mo'ville's DEs. Fisher HAS to get some defensive stops early to set the offense up. They can't allow chunks of yards, long drives and depend on a DB to eventually make a play. I think Fiutko starts and manages the game for a Fisher win.

27-19 Fisher.

Naton? ???

I heard they were trying to be really aggressive with it, maybe put the pins in. Give him a week of rest and let him play with the pins in?

If that's the case I don't think we will see him under center that much because he will probably have a padding/cast on that thumb that may effect the exchange.

We will see tomorrow under the lights I guess.

I have no knowledge of the extent of the injury, but one would think that if this one gets one sided- you pull Naton and let that thing rest.
I hope for a stout Fisher D that keeps the O on the field- but with a bum hand - doesnt that kind of preclude you from center exchanges and force draws all day?
Heck - all I want is a w like all Fisher faithful- but I think that I am looking long term and big picture and let his hand heal and win this friggin conference outright!

fisheralum91

Pat continues to pick Fisher to drop a game to an underdog.....
Keep doing that Pat- it certainly seems to work! ;D

I know ill eat crow if Mooville does pull the shocker, but for now......not so much.... :P

You might be right, but I've seen this Hartwick movie before, and until proven otherwise, I refuse to believe they're going to hang 34 on Ithaca at IC this week.

As for IC's offense, Josh Felicetti is being inducted into the school's Hall of Fame tomorrow. Just to recap, here were some of his performances against the Wick:

2003: Throws for (then) career-high 271 yards, scores game winning 4 yard touchdown run
2004: Completes a (then) career high 24 passes for a career-high 4 touchdown passes in 47-8 win
2005: Goes 10-for-13, 216 yards, 3 TDs in 59-41 win

Guys, who knows what kind of magic his presence will deliver? What happens if he shakes Shafer's hand?

(Answer: IC wins this by a ton, Stef Sair comes back to intercept Shafer twice in the Jug)

That jarred my memory - thanks Bombers-
Congrats to Steve Stepnick on getting honored to be inducted into the Fisher HOF!

I ask all the Doctors from that era (you know who you are) to raise a glass and toast our newest member of the HOF!

Cheers Steve!

Is his plaque going to just be a picture of the turf Felicetti's pass bounced off of?  ;)

Sorry. Had to. But yes, a well-deserved honor for Stepnick. It does seem fitting that he and Felicetti go in to their respective halls together, though.

Forever linked!

And it was a pick ;D

I can't believe that Naton plays this weekend. I know you can't take any game for granted, but if you can get through an 0-4 Mo'ville team with your backup, Fisher could very well have Naton back for Utica. Fiutko did a pretty good job against a decent Buff State team, and from what I have heard/seen the Mustang defense should be a step behind what he has already seen.

Didn't Fisher keep Fusco at #1 on the  depth chart for the Brockport game?
GO FISHER!!!

So Pep is at a loss. What does Pep do when the Saxons aren't playing? While Pep's daughter is away for the weekend, Pep gets to chill with his 7-year-old grandson and is looking to make it a weekend of football fun!

Tonight, the Bolivar-Richburg Wolverines (4-1) host their rival Cuba-Rushford Rebels (4-1) in a 7:30 p.m. Livingston County Division II clash.

Tomorrow, Pep is thinking of following up Friday Night Lights with an E8 D3 road trip doubleheader. Perhaps taking in the Hartaca (easier said than Ithwick) at ButterField at 1 p.m., then driving northwest to Pittsford to take in the Morrisville State-St. John Fisher clash at 6 p.m.

But then, will a 7-year-old with his grand-pops be able to consume that much football in one weekend?

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

That would be my gut as well. Especially considering this game is largely meaningless. Fisher could lose it and still win the Pool A bid by winning out.

I think it sounds good to me Pep.  Looking forward to dragging, I mean taking a grandson with me on road trips.  Still need the grandson first.

Pep, I have taken my youngest nephew who is of similar age to one DIII game and all he wanted to do was run around the stadium and eat popcorn and cotton candy. You would have thought we were at a state/county fair.
