I LOVE Division 3 football. Especially when you get the chance to see excellence. I haven't seen Hartwick QB Billy Pine play since he won a NYS championship for Hoosick Falls High School. I just took the opportunity to watch the second half of Hartwick vs St.John Fisher. Pine is every team's dream for a quarterback. He has poise, instinct, a rifle arm and the ability and guts to get the ball in there to any receiver that gets even momentarily open. WOW. Glad he's not in the Liberty League.

Not sure how the game went, but this has to be a low for the Fisher program.  Losing to Hartwick and only scoring 21 is not good.  Damn, what happened?

Pine should have been starting ahead of Garcia two years ago. Nice win for the Hawks, and another loss in what's been a disaster of a season for St. John Fisher.

Brockport wins again. Special season brewing there.

And maybe at Buff State as well

I like this bomber guy!! 3-0 start is a good thing. Problem Is that Alfred is up next.  And to be honest, I don't think my boys have ever beaten them. Ever!! Hoping for the best.

Go BENGALS!!!

Congrats to Buff State on the 24 second half points to put away a solid RPI squad. Looks like a great game coming up against Alfred. Good Luck to the future LL member!

Great question - what happened has been 5 seasons in the making .

No winning edge - satisfied being ok-enough Head Coach and whatever the role of the other is don't have it anymore

Nah, their program lows came in the late 90's into the year 2000.  They did not have sterling records or particularly close games back then.  Things turned around quickly from there though.  Just a few short years later they were in the playoffs and for a short period had a team that could nationally contend.  It was a lot of fun to watch that transition occur.

I think Hartwick deserves some credit for being very competitive this year. Billy Pine looks excellent, and as Hobart is a future opponent in Wickland , this will not be a game taken lightly....

This isn't the lowest point in the program's history but it's the most disappointing season in since 2001.

The defense hasn't been good in years, the O-line is soft and they don't have a QB.

This offseason they need to take a long look at what they want to do offensively and defensively on game day and have the entire staff on board with recruiting and not slacking off.

The views expressed in the above post do not represent the views of St. John Fisher College, their athletic department, their coaching staff or their players. I am an over zealous antagonist that does not have any current connection to the institution I attended.

Great point Bartman.

AU jayvees defeated Onondaga Community College this afternoon on a very hot Merrill Field at Yunevich Stadium. Final score was AU 17, OCC 6. Pep sat on the shady visitors side (as did a good number of AU fans) to escape the sun.

0-4

Its hard to even look at that record and then look at the schedule and realize that not only having a losing record will happen, but the reality of an 0fer season is a possibility.

This program has taken not only a step back but a huge fall.
Go .500 and you shake it off as a tough year---brush yourself off and look to next season.
0,1 or 2 wins and this program needs to really take inventory of what it wants, and what wholesale changes need to take place.

So, what happened to Collichio? Is he hurt too?

fisheralum91

Pep +k for all JV scores/updates.....looks like Alfred has a decent pipeline of Saxon Warriors
