I would say Brockport's defense is shutdown good. 6th in the country in total D (1st in run defense 24 yards a game). 7 of 11 opponents held to 7 or less points. (4 shutouts). This a not a prediction of how they will perform against Wesley. But if Brockport doesn't have a shutdown good defense who does ?

Don't get me wrong  BPort has an excellent defense....my view of shutdown would have been holding strong teams(not even Wesley level) like Cortland, Hobart and Alfred to single digits....now that would be shutdown...so I am a tough grader ....although a look at the rest of D3 tells me St.Thomas and MHB may be shutdown.....but so far the GE have 0 on the board against them in the playoffs, so they are shutdown at this point......I am a Brockport fan the rest of the way

This is going to be a pretty interesting game.  I will venture to guess that Wesley will get more than 24 yards rushing.  Looking at the games that Brockport had battles in, Hobart, Cortland, and Alfred, they did not dominate any of them.  Found themselves in dogfights in the 4th quarter.  I saw the Hobart game and Brockport had plenty of opportunities to put the game away before halftime, yet tied 20-20 in the second half.  Tied with Cortland going into the 4th and only up 3 with Alfred mid way through 4th.  I will venture to guess that Wesley is better than all 3 of those teams and brings much more to the table on offense.  This could end up being an shoot out unless one team implodes with turnovers.  Wesley was sloppy yesterday and too many penalties.  Can't do that in the round of 16 and expect to win.

It will take 60 minutes of play to beat Brockport with an emphasis on the QB.  30 Minutes won't cut it.  I have seen Wesley step up in the past after mediocre performances but only time will tell if Wesley can front end load the game.  If not....well again, refer to week 1.

Wesleydad, with all due respect, Hobart beat RPI 30-0, so we will see how Wesley does against a second common opponent

Bartman, I will stand by my statement, Wesley is better than all 3 of the teams I mentioned.  If you are hinting that Hobart may be better than Wesley based on a score with a common opponent, go with that.

Machiavelli

Bartman has referenced the RPI/Hobart score about 456 times this past week. It was the highlight of their season and the turning point for RPI's for multiple reasons. RPI would've beat Hobart down the stretch. Doubt too many people would debate that.

On another note, Joe Callahan is in for GB.

Another pro football fan on a Sunday. I like it! Hundley throws 2 1st quarter picks so the switch is good ( and i picked the Pack to win too :-\)

Go BROCKPORT!

Lesson learned. Never trust a RPI guy. Machiavelli lies!!  Hundley is still in the game!

Ps. Buff State beat RPI too. Just lost to too many good E8 teams!

With Hundley sucking right now, I would hope that Green Bay gives him a shot.  Being a Packer stock owner and a Wesley fan, a win on both accords!
