I'm watching the Red Zone and I swear Scott Hanson said Joe Callahan was coming in. My bad.
All good. Although like Ski said. We could see him soon with Hundley playing like he is.

Just back from Newark, Delaware where the Saxons capped off another good season (8-3) with a 29-16 win over Stevenson from the MAC. Was good to see AU QB Bryce Morrison back in good form. Was also great to see senior RB Maleke Fuentes go out on a high note as MVP of the James Lynah Bowl,  rushing for 119 yards and a score. With the performance, Fuentes stands with 2,446 yards rushing in his career - ranking ninth in career rushing yards in AU history.

Also finishing an outstanding career with a W was senior linebacker/captain 2016 Gagliardi Trophy finalist A.J. LiCata, who closed his career as the all-time lead tackler in AU history with 412 total tackles over his four seasons.

Pep is glad to have made the trip....spent a couple days with Pep Jr. in Falls Church, VA and Pep's 8-month-old grandson, #ATrain.

Congrats Pep on the win for the Saxons.  That is a nice win against Stevenson.  Good luck next season and have a nice Thanksgiving.

So Wesley Dad,
You making the trip to Upstate NY for the game?
Should be an amazing game!

On a different but related topic, am I the only Fisher alum that is watching the coaching carousel tab on D3 Football.com wondering if the shoe is about to drop?

If you honestly think they're going to fire Vosburgh after one bad season in which injuries played a huge role...well, you may not be the only Fisher fan who wants to, but I'd be stunned

Didn't Fisher's basketball coach just resign prior to the season ? Is Bob Ward willing to have 2 major teams have coaching changes in the same year ? You would hope Vosburgh would just step aside maybe and avoid the ole "should we fire the guy who basically has made the program what it is and has had great success?" Always messy, was kinda messy at Brockport. Salomone  "resigned", when in fact he was pressured to quit ( a soft firing). Brockport had a successor in waiting. Does Fisher ? I haven't been too impressed with either coordinator to give either one the job. Do you want outside blood ?
They have some assistants with a lot of wear on their tires too (scichetti, Bud sims)
Obviuosly the best candidate would be Mike Fox. He's done great at Brockport and he won't be a head coach there because Mangone is only in his early 40's and won't be leaving any time soon. So if Mike Fox wants to be a head coach. I'm assuming the Fisher job is waiting for him. But they can't wait too long
Also UR is looking for a coach as well. (Maybe they'll take Fox)

Look,
Im not some whiner that screams the sky is falling.
Do I think a change would help- maybe.
I was just stating a fact that Im watching the boards in case it does go down.
And to D3man- no I do not think that Bob wants to lose 2 coaches in one year.

FA...I'm not saying I disagree with you. Even tho Vosburgh has had great success, I feel the time is right for a change. He's been there a long time, getting up in years. But all good things must come to an end. It's a warning sign that they couldn't compete to keep Fox, and he felt more wanted/ or didn't like the path Fisher was headed. I would want them to go after him almost now, while the iron is hot and someone else doesn't snatch him up. I of course know nothing about his reputation or whether his name is mud around there or if he burned any bridges . I was playing a little devil's advocate to show what challenges and possiblilities to pursue, and asking you what path you would prefer. Plus you are seeing other teams like IC and Union and Brockport having success with younger coaches. Also Alfred has a new younger HC and they really haven't skipped a beat. These questions will soon be coming to Hobart and Buff St, where their HCs are getting up there and have been there a long time.

I can't comment on SJF or Buff St, but I couldn't disagree with you more regarding Hobart.  The team was 8 points away from going 9-1 this year.  Cragg is truly respected by all the players, parents and fans.  Unless he is bumped up to AD (rumor has is unlikely), I don't see him going anywhere soon.  Certainly not going to be pushed out!

I think that the difficult thing that I have is that I cant put a line in the sand and say this is where things went wrong.
Its a combination of many things and a shakeup at the top may not be the answer.  I have not clue of the inner doings at the alma mater.  What I can say is that a 2 win season is not acceptable and in order to have this Alum to continue to donate more to the athletic department I want to know that things are on the mend.

Buff State HC will be fine. he is steadily trying to build a good program. Buff State A. D. will determine when Buff State HC steps down (since they are the same person). I hope Boyes stays for a while. I remember what the program looked like before he took it over ( a 2nd time)

The problem with firing a coach (for on the field reasons) is that you create the expectation that whatever level they were at is below the minimum acceptable standard.

If you fire Vosburgh, you send the message that 15 years of winning 7, 8, 9, games every regular seasons, and going on an occasional playoff run is not going to survive a single down year. If that's the message you want to send...I mean, sure, go ahead. I'm not sure that's a job I'd want to take on, but go for it
